A Final Palin Post [from the TIME mag reporter in Alaska]
Swampland (Time, Inc. blog) ^ | July 9, 2009 | Jay Newton-Small

[...] To me, one of the most interesting aspects of the story is how vehemently the Palin camp blames Barack Obama.

From the story:

For Palin, however, these aren't isolated incidents. She believes they grow from the same root, which is too big and too formidable to ignore. "A lot of this comes from Washington, D.C. The trail is pretty direct and pretty obvious to us," says Meg Stapleton, a close Palin adviser in Alaska. Awaiting a flight back to Anchorage from distant Dillingham, Stapleton adds that the anti-Palin offensive seems lifted straight from The Thumpin', which describes the political strategies of Rahm Emanuel, who is now the White House chief of staff. "It's the Sarah Palin playbook. It's how they operate," Stapleton says.

Palin and her Alaska circle find evidence for their suspicions about the White House in the person of Pete Rouse, who lived in Juneau for a time before he became chief of staff to a young U.S. Senator named Barack Obama. Rouse, they note, is a friend of former Alaska state senator Kim Elton, who pushed the first ethics investigation of Palin, examining her controversial firing of the state's public-safety commissioner. Both Rouse and Elton have joined the Obama Administration. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs scoffed at the theory. "The charge is ridiculous," he said. "Obviously there is no effort ... From my vantage point, a lot of the criticism she is getting from others seems to be generated from self-inflicted wounds.

Meg went a step further at one point telling me, "I just hope to God Rahm Emanuel isn't using taxpayer money to come after Alaska."

Palin's attorney made a connection on Greta's show last night between Linda Kellen Biegle ('Celtic Diva') and the DNC. Now this from Stapleton.

Looks like Team Palin may be connecting some dots....

I think Sarah connected the dots a long time ago. Everyone knows who are paying these people, I have always said “Follow the money trail” these people who are filing these complaints are not smart enough to come up with this on their own. They are being told to do this. The Saul Alinsky playbook is in full effect

Absolutely. Emmaneul was behind those attacks. He is also behind the current attacks, eg, the orchestrated attacks all taking a slightly different approach (gold digger, nutty, exploiting children, mid-life crisis, quitter) by different female surrogates we have seen in the last few days. Mainly NYT and MSNBC.

Its too unbelievable to be real. And its from the usual suspects.

I just pity Emmanuel needing to provide tit for tat, so to speak, to that tart Quinn. An unwholesome task. He is truly dedicated.

I have no problem admitting I want to see Linda Beagle financially destroyed.

It appears that Washington expects Sarah to just go along with the old “potomac two-step.” I think Sarah has served notice that she doesn’t dance...

I guess it should be no surprise that TIME magazine has its online blog....the surprising thing is how COMPLETELY clueless virtually everyone on that thread sounds.
Time and Newsweek are now just two more useless MSM “outlets”-—fading fast every day. They serve the Apolitical, that branch of it that still wants to consider itself political.

Greta tonight ripped Sally Quinn’s bashing article on Gov. Palin.
Greta was livid. She also took on Letterman who last night
went back to his snarky attacks.

One minor criticizm. Meg Stapleton may be really loyal, but Palin needs someone in addition to Meg, someone with more finesse to deal with the National Media. Hope she gets a top team in place quickly.

Greta is about the only one I really like on Fox now. She has been consistent on Sarah from Day One!

I learned today that Greta’s husband helped set up Sarah’s PAC and legal defense fund. Greta may be “fair and balanced” at work but she’s an old Wisconsin girl and despite some trappings of elitism, I get the impression she and her husband are good people who are on Sarah’s side.

Yes, that is what I admire about Greta.
The gratuitous slams from the left keep
saying , they are scared of Sarah or they
would pack it in.

DITTO! Plus I want her and everyone who paid her and others to defame Sarah to face a law suite that the media can not possibly ignore!

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I'm not sure the poor thing can AFFORD $20 a throw...
