Allen Boyd: Why I voted for the energy bill
Panama City News Herald ^ | 5 July 2009 | Congresseman Allen Boyd (D-Fl)

Posted on 07/09/2009 3:13:24 PM PDT by Jacquerie

I approach the energy debate with the basic assumption that our current energy policy is not working.

We are dangerously dependent on foreign sources of energy, and this dependence is expensive.

One of the biggest misconceptions about the energy bill is that it would impose thousands of dollars in costs on the average household. This is simply not true.

Allen Boyd, Florida 2nd Congressional district has an American Conservative Union rating of 16. He faced protests outside his FL offices after voting for Cap'n Tax. He is just another dishonest rat who presents himself as an 'aw shucks good 'ol boy at home but votes with Pelosi and Bawney Frank.

The headline is disingenuous and it gets worse from there.

There is NO ‘energy’ in this bill. Instead, it targets all forms of currently-viable energy and consumption.

I got very little pleasure from the shocked looks on the faces of coal miner friends earlier this month when they realized their beloved candidate was now going to put them out of a job.

WHAT THE HELL IS THE “ENERGY” BILL??!?

Oh, hey, that’s how they’re reframing “Cap And Tax”.

How clever. Ashamed to call it what it is.

Scumbags.

CAP TAXES — TRADE CONGRESS!

The liberal socialists cannot paint enough white-wash on what they are trying to do to America. It is ugly, it is shameful, it is destructive and it just smacks of a HUGE SOCIALIST POWER GRAB.

Yes, I would spin it too.

We all know why you voted for the “energy” bill.

No need to explain.

It’s one of two reasons.

You’re either an empty-headed, limp-wristed, mealy-mouthed, pablum-brained idiot grovelling for your world-domination masters,

OR

Your one of the “new world order” wanna-be masters that hope to lord it over all us peons when your goals are finally achieved.

Either way, Jesus is coming.

And you’re on the wrong side.

These traitors need to be informed that they’re TOAST; case closed. Make it real clear to all of them. They’re too arrogant and clueless to figure it out on their own. The millions of telephone calls from outraged American voters haven’t clued them in at all. What delight when they’re gone.

We are dangerously dependent on foreign sources of energy, and this dependence is expensive.

So where is the provision, Mr Boyd, that encourages - or even allows - increased access to our DOMESTIC sources of energy?

Who is this jackass trying to fool? The whole scam being fostered on us is about power and money. All of these Congress people should be removed. The ones in San Francisco and we know some of you rich guys out there lost money lots of it. Ask yourself this question. Do you really want to continue to lose money; while Pelosi and others get richer off of your back? This applies to anylone with a job or without a job too. Do you want yout freedom and your money or do you want to government to own you?

Rep. Allen Boyd is a Democrat who represents Florida's 2nd District in the U.S. House.

Rep Allen Boyd is also a LIAR as demonstrated by several unequivocably false statements in his screed.

FL-2nd District surrounds Tallahassee with area to the SE but most to the west. FL-1st is the western most portion of the FL Panhandle. Rep. Boyd talks glibly about having Nuclear and Biomass included as favored energy sources while (probably) knowing full well that the Obama Administration is antagonistic towards the former and the latter is considered experimental.

The local liberal rag in Cincy printed an article with the exact same title for Driehaus, freshman dim in the 1st district, Ohio.

Same bullshiite in the article too. They know they're in trouble with that vote.

***One of the biggest misconceptions about the energy bill is that it would impose thousands of dollars in costs on the average household***

Someone ask the RINO if the $175 a year more that Obama says it will be is a tax?

It sure sounds like a tax to me and Obama had previously claimed he wouldn't raise taxes.

This RINO needs to put a D behind his name.

This RINO just voted to increase every ones taxes at least $273.75 a year based on his own assumptions.

Allen Boyd is already a D. But eight RINOs voted for it too.

You are right on target with the demand for Nuclear. Until these weasels in congress understand that Nuclear is a major part of our energy solution they don’t have a clue. Term limits...the only way out of this mess.

Ok. I'm no longer surprised but his explanation is interesting because it goes against what his leader Obama has previously said about not raising taxes.

When something needs to be done, just do somthing, right? Even if it makes no sense, at least you can say you did something!

What a crock.
