Obama shakes hands with Qadaffi @ 4:00 pm by Hill Staff
President Obama shook hands with longtime U.S. enemy and Libyan President Muammar Qadaffi at a dinner at the G8 summit on Thursday.
As the leaders of a number of countries prepared to take a group picture, the president shook Qadaffi's hand.
Obama came under fire from Republicans for chatting with and shaking hands with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez at the Summit of the Americas earlier this year.
It would not surprise me if this asshat dug up Hitler for a photo-op.
What, you mean he didn’t bow?
It’s a good thing this was a public setting instead of private, or Obama probably would have latched onto Quadaffi’s leg like a horny chihuahua.
Drudge has a photo of him checking out the rear of a young lady - Mrs. 0 will not be pleased.
Which hand did Qadaffi use? ;-)
Hehe!
Hopefully the left hand.
He sure loves all of our enemies... and hates our friends.
Did he bow to him, too?
Is Qadaffi shorter than O? (Just wondering if he had to bow to shake hands with him.)
Libya and Gaddafi have changed a lot since the ‘80s. GWB lifted sanctions on them 5 years ago and the state department restored full diplomatic relations with them in ‘06.
He underestimated the suicidal nature of the liberal American Jewish community, but everyone knows that Obama's spiritual mentor is a supporter of both Qaddafi and Farrakhan...so I'm sure this meeting has been a long time coming.
I not sure I have a problem with this. After we went into Afghanistan/Iraq, Muammar Qadaffi crapped his pants and gave up all his toys.
The list, ping
I’ll bet Barry apologized for the bombing of his tent that resulted in the death of one of his kids, back in the Reagan era.

I'm sure that's very comforting to the families of the victims of Pan Am 103.

It’s amazing what a few bombs from the Reagan Administration can do to one’s future outlook on life!
Perhaps not, but I’ll bet their portion of the 3 billion dollars Libya paid to the victim’s families’ helped a little. Nothing can replace a killed loved one, but what else would you like for them to do? Or do we just hate an entire country and call them enemies forever no matter what else they ever do? Libya is perhaps the most shining example of how US pressure can bring about real change among our enemies.
