Vice-President Joe Biden, in a rare moment of honesty, actually admitted that he and others in the Obama administration had ‘misread’ the condition of the economy. That was his explanation for why the so-called stimulus had not produced any of the promised results, like keeping the unemployment rate from going above 8% (it is currently at 9.5%).
Of course even Biden’s explanation seems more disingenuous than it does honest given that leading up to the election and since that time we have heard the constant drumbeat from President Obama that the state of the economy was the worst since the Great Depression. So are they soon going to suggest that it is now worse than the Great Depression???
The numbers alone showed that the state of the economy was on par with the same state during the recession of the early 1980s, shortly after Ronald Reagan took office. Therefore, it is fairly safe to say that Obama and his minions, rather than underestimating the condition of the economy, instead actually exaggerated the weak condition of the economy in order to win the election and implement their anti-capitalistic and socialistic agenda.
Of course, we already knew what the results of an Obama administration would be. We knew because Sarah Palin, yes – that Sarah Palin, told us all of this last September in her speech at the Republican National Convention. Well, actually he is a DIS-honest idiot. They knew this would be the outcome of DOING NOTHING to stimulate our capitalist economy. That would have required POSITIVE measures like taxation reductions, business incentives, investment credits, borrowing incentives, building investor confidence, etc, etc.
None of which are part of the Obama socialist agenda. How stupid do these radicals think we are?

The American public would be naive to believe that Zero inherited the worst recession in history. Back in March, Biden said the economy was tougher than FDR’s.
Obama and Biden both went to great lengths to express how bad the economy was and how quickly the stimulus needed to be passed. So bad that there wasn’t time to read the bill. It had to be passed immediately.
No way they should be getting away with claiming they misread anything.
They pimped the doomsday angle every chance they got.

They had months to go over the details, they said it was the worst recession ever, yet didn’t know how bad it was???

then dim congress passes the stimulus w/o READing it.
