Q. The former Alaskan governor's resignation gave her a boost among GOP respondents in a recent USAToday/Gallup poll. Two-thirds of Republicans want her to be "a major national political figure" in the future. The announcement further "dented" her standing with Democrats: Three-fourths hope she does not return to a position of power. What is your opinion of Sarah Palin?

Because of my opinion of ‘polling’, I cannot participate since that lends credulity to the most deceitful aspect of American polity.

Lurk, I submit to you that her policy portfolio doesn’t matter, and that to focus on that misses the point on what she has to offer. I am prepared to vote for and support Sarah Palin for one reason only, and that is that she is a good and decent person, something that washington needs so desperately badly.
It has occurred to me recently that we have plenty of folks in wahsington with these credentials or those degrees, and there are 100% worthless, because they are dishonest and corrupt. Those negative characteristics clearly overwhelm and override ANY resume entry they may possess.
What I would give for just one -honest- person in the federal government, because, God knows, one does not exist now. It is my position that a person of conviction, honesty, and decency can and WILL arrive at the proper decision with regard to any situation, and the proof lies in the fact that she has already done so in her own life, despite facing personal challenges there as well.
Based upon looking at the sum of choices that she has made in her life and how those choices played out, and based upon the crystal clear nature of her positions and convictions, I think that she is THE MOST QUALIFIED candidate possible at this particular time in history. Our government is clearly evil, and it is going to take a unique and good person to fix it. Everyone else will fail, the usual republican suspects will FAIL, they are done, there will be no second chances for them, they laid down in the face of their duty, and they are shameful.

I will be leaving for a couple of hours for a fun filled 1.5 shour plus of torture as my PT is helping to determine if I need a new left knee due 70 years of wear and tear.
It has been a fun filled summer with a cataract removed from my left eye (doing great with the new lens), and the cataract removal from my right eye scheduled on 3 August.
The knee came into the picture about 2 weeks ago feeling like someone hit my left upper/outer knee joint with a 3 pound Ping Hammer and the upper part of the lower knee joint with an Aluminum Baseball bat.
I’m getting my bionic transplants in before 0b0z0 puts Dr K in charge of senior health benefits.
Thanks for your support and please pass the word about this Yahoo poll: http://js.polls.yahoo.com/quiz/quiziframe.php?poll_id=46789

To: Grampa Dave
There is something fishy about the way the percentages are showing in this poll. I voted 10 times in a row. The amt. of votes increased, but the percentages did not change. The major votes were 49% in favor of Palin and 43% opposed.
