Two-thirds of Republicans want her to be "a major national political figure" in the future. The announcement further "dented" her standing with Democrats: Three-fourths hope she does not return to a position of power. What is your opinion of Sarah Palin?

I was amazed by the negative reactions the other day as I had FOX News playing when she made her announcement. Customers almost universally made some comment about her being incompetent, nutty, uninformed, ignorant of world affairs, unable to run her own household, etc as they hoped this "Caribou Barbie" would just go away.
These were upscale people, not sure of their political affiliations but they certainly seemed anti-GOP.
I hope that Sarah is in front of audiences and TV cameras from now on. I want those upscale nitwits to go apoplectic. I want ashes on their heads as they witness the destruction of their hopey changemas. I, too, am a divider, not a uniter. If you want unity, you'll have to come over here. I'm not going over there.

The whole country needs to take a chill pill on Palin. Let her go into quiet mode for a bit, deepen her foreign policy portfolio, spend time with family.
If she comes out later and wants to make a go of it, we can all figure out her place in history then. No hurry.
In the meantime, let’s pray that God would give us grace and a turning of the heart of our country toward Him. Otherwise, no leader will be able to make a difference.

I used to work with a guy from Houma LA. He is a big, bearded guy, someone you might expect to know gumbo. And he does. Once in awhile, he would make seafood gumbo for the whole office. He said it takes 11 or 12 hours to make, so he had to stay up all night if he brought it in the morning. We all chipped in $5 for a bowl, and it was money very well-spent.

Of course they don't. Governor Palin is a very real threat to their qwest for power. If she wasn't, they wouldn't care.
