“Hmm. That was a long time ago. I have no relcollection. Im sorry I dont recall. I dont remember. I cant say for sure that I saw that memo. No, I dont remember reading that. I have no recollection of that event.”
I would start by reading the indictment and conviction of Conyers wife into the record, followed by the assertion of my 5th amendment rights.
I would then explain that I am not compelled to talk to congress and get up and leave.

Michael Medved has been sliding Left for some time. The other day he was castigating Republicans who don’t believe in Global Warming.

Probably a Fitz style perjury trap.

“I was listening to Michael Medved interviewing Joe Scarborough yesterday. Both were pushing the proposition that the pubbies wont start winning elections until we soften our tone. Nobody likes an angry candidate was their theme.”
I used to love to listen to Medved. He is well spoken, smart and better than the idiot Trivisano on the local clear Chanel station.
Now I can barely stand to listen, he was n the tank for the leftist McCain, and has completely wrong I dea of how to win an election or a cultural movement.
We need to bash the leftists at every turn. They won because they were able to drag down a president that refused to fight back.

What a coup for Tech! I read it this morning and thought how many more political science students will be learning REAL lessons from a REAL expert...and a conservative, to boot (one can hope).

I try to take in as many viewpoints as reasonably possible. That includes folks who I don’t necessarily agree with. I’m struggling with the ones who say that passion won’t win elections.
McCain’s campaign wasn’t exactly cerebral, but it did emphasize that same smarmy, collegial “My esteemed colleague” crap that the electorate absolutely sprinted away from.
I’m tired of being compelled to back candidates who bring a butter-knife to a gunfight.

The Republican hierarchy clearly thinks it must ingratiate itself to the Democrats. They want to be liked by the Monica Media and they think that is the key to electoral success.

I agree, Tech will benefit from the hire of Alberto Gonzales. We could use more conservatives in the Law Department!

The length of the deposition suggests that they’re trying to get Rove to talk and talk and talk until he contradicts himself on some point, and they can construct a perjury trap.

[I think that Bush & Cheney would be TREMENDOUS fools if they did not have TREMENDOUS dirt collected on Obama, Emanuel, and others in the new administration before the Bush administration left office.]
Bush will NEVER go after anyone in the Dem party. EVER. I don't know why but I believe that if even if it meant jail time for himself and he could get exonerating evidence from a dem at the expense of another dem, he would pass!
