Since Palin's stunning announcement that she is resigning her Alaskan governorship, Benway has been glued to her computer, reading everything she can about the former Republican vice presidential candidate. Yesterday afternoon, the 63-year-old retired court reporter was among the throng of online-enabled, Facebook-connected supporters who posted a comment on Palin's official fan page.

Palin's Facebook and Twitter are only the tip of the iceberg. Team Sarah membership has jumped to over 70,000 since Friday. Conservatives4Palin is now getting close to 20,000 hits per day, and naturally, there has been a big upsurge of support here at FR.

If her Facebook continues at the current rate, it could hit 1 million in the next 3 weeks.

And yet all the inside-the-beltway types insist that she is done with. I wonder if their idea of connecting with normal people means looking towards the west from their DC offices?

Maybe what all of us need to start doing is start a DRAFT PALIN for 2012 and make the media heads explode even more on both sides of the aisle.

We are starting to get an Army of Palin supporters together on various sites so the logical next step is for all of us to throw our support behind her for 2012 and start working to get her the nomination in spite of the DC power brokers. We did it with Sen Coburn here in OK in 2004 and no stopping what the grassroots could do with a nationwide movement.

Why should anyone be "bowed" by a very astute decision by Palin that the Washington Post does not understand? What is puzzling is that the Washington Post is unbowed by the slow death of it as a newspaper.

Oh, man, this is starting to look like the Ron Paul nuts. I like Sarah Palin, but this smacks of idolatry. Never place your faith in a human being. Let’s see what she does before we crown her.

It is interesting to watch this. Democrats are fiercely attacking every aspect of her personal life because she is a conservative in heart, spirit and soul and is effective in what she does. Republicans are attacking her, or marginalizing her, for the same reason, but especially because she cleans up corruption wherever she goes....

...but “we the people” love her to death. That's a tough one for our established leadership. Could it be that we aren't the sheeple they figured on?

Beckel is under the belief she has no following. (I just witnessed it on FNC) How the heck do we lose to these crooks?

I resent that crack. Most of us behind Sarah are rock ribbed Republicans who happen to be members of the grassroots who are fed up with the power brokers wanting to choose our candidates.

There is no comparison to Ron Paul Supporters. Looks look a new talking point paper has come out tonight.

You are free to stand on the sidelines, we believe in her and it’s nothing to do with being “nuts”.
