WHY THE BIG FUSS IF SHE NEVER HAD A CHANCE?
Red South

Posted on 07/06/2009 2:40:25 PM PDT by RED SOUTH

The media sure knows how to pile it on. The elite eastern establishement sure knows how to scream. Many said , I never thought she had a chance anyway. I'm talking about rank and file republicans least of all the bloody murder screams from the left.

So why the big fuss over the , let me quote , under qualified , sporadic diva , who needs years to study up before ever being ready to run for President? The fuss is because the first shots of the 2012 Presidential campaign have been fired and it's got the establishment on both sides afraid ... very afraid.

The more they run her down , the more her numbers go up. Axelrod said of the 2008 campaign , the one thing , the wild card that kept him up at night was Sarah Palin. He said she was activating new voters , people who had never involved themselves in presidential politcs before. I am sure it's still the one thing that keeps him up at night thinking about 2012.

Ofcourse I am sure Mike Huckabee worries about the same thing Axelrod does. Noone stands to gain more in the republican primaries than Huckabee should Palin not run. He took some pretty good shots at her this weekend. Not a sign of a man who thinks she is done in presidential politics but a man who sees competition he can not compete with.

The others on the list of republican hopefuls were either quiet or wished her well , which was the smart thing to do. Why alienate her voters if she decides not to run? The left was just as vile and nasty as usual.

It's like at the end of a horror movie , the grasping scream of the villian right before he dies. With a fatal blow he know he's dead. That's the establishment.

For too long the democrat and republican party have been two wings of the same bird. Propping up Wall Street and ignoring Main Street. Living high off the hog off a corupt political system the benefits the politicians , the lobbyist and Wall Street.

Surely Palin is one of us. Far away from Washington she rose to governor fighting the fat cats. A mom who ran for PTO because she cared about her children's education who ran for mayor because she cared about her town who ran for Governor because the coruption she saw in anchorage made her sick. Unlike the slickster in the White House who used change as a slogan , Palin has a history of making a change.

I believe the primarie season has already started as the empty suit in the White House proves to be a fraud as his policies fail as he continues to be a huge failure on every front. The republican nomination hasn't been this valuable since 1988 when it was a guaranteed victory on the heels of Reagan. The nominee that year would face either Dukakis or Jesse Jackson who were fighting out the primaries. Easy win.

Let's chose wisely this time fellow freepers and republicans and like minded independants. Our republic depends on it. As for me, I am keeping my fingers crossed on Palin and hoping some other unmentioned Governor somewhere with a good conservative record pops up as a backup plan.

I sure don't trust Mitt. I believe he would sale his soul to be President. Huckabee is busy selling out right now raking in all the money he can. He won't buck the system. Barbour is a high roller from way back inside the establishment. As I go down the list it's like roll call of the politics as usual. The only stand out I see is the lady from Wasilla.

The title itself makes the case.

For foes both inside and outside the party...

They know she can beat Obama, they won’t say it but they KNOW IT. Look at her twitter page, it skyrocketed from 40,000 to over 71,000+ in a span of a weekend, look at her facebook page, also ballooned, and her Pac is getting more donations too, even the Team Sarah site has a boom of new members. They are scared to death of this woman because she is real and genuine

And the attacks against her will never abate for the same reason — her enemies know she’s still the hottest Presidential prospect out there. ...perhaps now more than ever.

I hope she lays low and prepares herself better if shes going to run.

We've had enough of the little ole country girl shtick.

Next time out she better be on her toes, sound intelligent and quick witted or they will eat her up again.

The attacks would have continues whether she was Governor or not.

Now she has no restrictions as a Governor of Alaska.

If she is running in 2012, I like this strategy. If she’s not, she can make a fortune on the speaking tour and fully attack a Government run media.

The problem is...she has to get one of the two party nominations...if she goes the Perot road she will need millions of volunteers and millions of dollars to get state ballot access. Not likely.

That leaves the GOP nomination. To get it she has to make many, many deals...like Romney she’d sell her soul, then, what would the nomination or the presidency be worth?

The last time a major party nominated an outsider was Wendel Willkie in 1944...he was a registered Democrat who got the GOP nomination...and lost.

Don’t see how she does it and keep her soul.

It’s just the Shakespearian observation of human behavior summarized by the quote “methinks the lady doth protest too much”.

“We’ve had enough of the little ole country girl shtick.”

That country girl schtick is what sold me on her. I’m tired of the other political windbags on both sides of the aisle. I want someone that truly is American and knows what an “average” American is like.

Yep! Yep! Yep!

Sarah preempted everything last Friday and all weekend! She threw every pundit and talking head and RINO and RAT a right cross and then kicked them in the crotch. Heeeee Heeeeee!

She is bypassing them and talking directly to us.

Exactly! I bet we could nail a lot of the right side that is very unhappy that she will be able to freely travel to the lower 48.

Did they get this upset when Mel Martinez resigned as head of the RNC before the 2008 election?

One of our most vilified leaders was George Washington, the insults and hostility were incredible. He couldn’t seem to win a victory at first, it must have been crushing but he persevered on through faith and resolve. Funny, look at how he’s honored and I don’t think anyone can recall the names of any of the nay-sayers to any extent.

Thank you Lord for leaders of the caliber of George Washington and I do believe we have another one rising...

Point of correction ... they didn’t eat her up. It took careful editting and manipulation for her interviews to come out the way they did. It took the McCain campaign organization to leak disinformation about her to undermine her image. It took the media to willfully ignore the attendance and excitement of her rallies to make it look like she wasn’t causing people to take notice.

She could memorize the encyclopedia and recite it without a teleprompter and they would STILL attack her for memorizing only the English version.

And she is not performing ‘country girl schtick’ ... she is who she is and makes no apologies for it. It’s not an act. She is not Hillary Clinton changing accents to please her audience.

If she runs I expect to vote for her barring something happening to change my thinking. Now, hear this, it is American women who will have to be convinced, they are the majority of registered voters and will decide, we men don’t have the numerical strength at the polls. As long as blacks, both male and female, continue to blindly vote Democrat it will be very difficult to elect Sarah Palin. If the women of this country wanted to elect a woman without regard to her race or party Hillary Clinton would be in the white house right now, no mere man could have prevented it.

American women up until now have been unwilling to trust a woman with the top job.
