"You're the problem!" one crowd member hollered. "You voted for TARP," yelled another.
Boos interrupted Cornyn, who won his second term last year, after he said: "This is a day of celebration, the day we celebrate our Founders, who defied empires and declared their independence."
Here in Huntsville we had a bigger turnout than we did Apr 15. My guess is 4-5,000. Good time.
It seems some were larger and some smaller, but all were more vocal than last time. This is good.
voting on bills that spend tons of money and they cannot even be bothered reading the bills......we didn’t send these guys to turn over the reading of bills to a kid just out of college on his payroll.....we hired THEM to do the job and do it with earnest in a responsible manner......and when they vote for something we hate it oughtta come back to bite them.......
These goobers
Our goobers got your goobers beat..........
Micheal Williams as a candidate for that seat seems pretty solid, as far as we know.
AMEN!
Michael is a FINE man with his feet planted squarely on the ground! He will make a FINE senator for Texas!
Gov. Good Hair (Rick Perry) is a total globalist elite sellout.
Perry has tried to shove this Trans-Texas Super highway (Nafta hwy) down our throats along with toll roads throughout Texas.
Not only that, he has made deals with foreign companies to come in and run them.
Rick Perry's TTC push has been resoundingly rejected by Texans from the valley to the Red River....he still tries to push it vigorously.
TTC would be the largest government land grab in Texas history. Stealing thousands of acres of ranch and farm land from hard workin families.
He deserved to be booed, he deserves to be thrown outta office.
Don't ya’ll be fooled with all this secession talk and sovereignty talk outta Perry....he’z just positioning himself politically.
The lower turn-out was predictable, given the date chosen for the second round of tea parties. It's July, for goodness sake. Here in the DFW area, it was over 100 degrees on July 4th.
At the last minute, my wife and I reluctantly decided not to put our kids through that, yesterday. We missed one of the biggest tea parties in the nation yesterday, and it was right down the street from us.
I don't think enthusiasm for the Tea Party movement has waned. Organizers across the country simply picked a terrible day to hold this latest round.
They're too busy looking for the live TV cameras.
The first time that I have not received a reply from Cornyn's office was after I sent the scathing letter after his TARP vote. Told him that next election I will vote in the donk primary, and support whatever donk runs against him. If I am going to have to live with democrat-lite from the Texas GOP, might as well vote for a blue-dog.
Michael Williams looks best to me. He is a real conservative. He’s been elected state-wide twice-—I believe.
I email Cornyn's office about once a week to ask if he's written any fund-raising letters for Arlen lately.
Our Congressman, Louie Gohmert, was a speaker in April. This time he just sent a letter to be read. No politicians were there as speakers. Louie said he would be at the one in Austin.
He also said in his letter that he was one of the ONLY 17 that had voted against all of the huge spending bills. I knew he was one who stayed last August to push for more drilling, but I did not know that he was one of only 17.
It's still an election in 2010.
She is vacating it early to give Democrat John Sharp a leg up.
Sharp is for Crap and Trade. I don't think he has much of a chance.
30,000 plus 1
Cornyn is a good ole’ boy country club republican like ronmney, mcaain, crist, and other RINOS. That is why Sarah Palin is not liked by a lot of them, she doesent play the the “rules” of the good ole’ boys club.
My husband had to work yesterday so we missed the tea party.
But, JOE THE PLUMBER was in Austin on Friday for a tea party in Zilker Park (didn’t know about that one!) so there were two in Austin this week.
Perhaps....but Billy Kristol likes her and that is more than enough reason to be alarmed.
TCats,
Michigan,
You guys there have as bad of politicians as any place. You know passions run wild and sometimes real injustices are done. I’m surprised you do not see more aggression against politicians, govt. types and judges and lawyers for that matter.
The next behind him, she said he was not eligible to be President, so he used the race card to silence her husband (who has been sent to Haiti?)!!
The first two mentioned were appointed to cabinet posts, hmmm!!!
