Rather than a blow to a career, Sarah Palin's decision to resign underlines her self-awareness, writes The Daily Beast's John Batchelor. She is now unmatched for the 2012 primary. The early excuse for the Republican circular firing squad of the holiday weekend is that Weekly Standard editor and party brainiac Bill Kristol claims that pugnacious McCain campaign enforcer Steve Schmidt has been caught gossiping to Vanity Fairs Todd Purdum about Sarah Palins rambling and incoherent vice-presidential campaign last September and October...

Lol ... Newt’s been around for sure...I don’t vote for Second Comings... mere mortal flawed politicians are the only available option ...
Right now: The GOP needs Sarah......Sarah doesn’t need the GOP. When it’s time to announce, she’ll be so far ahead they’ll have no choice but to support her, and have no reason not to.
Wow! A damn “Ghostbusters” reference from out of nowhere. Good for you.
People have a difficult time understanding the Sarah phenomenon. Normal rules don't really apply to her and her situation. She is a force of nature.
Her political destiny is in her hands and God's.
hey fellow Missourian... Newt let me down then, but had a big acco
plished list in the bank ... he continues with good solid political conservative thought.... he may not be electable, but he is my favorite politician...
As the Hildabeast correctly perceives (and she's not now in elective office), and as Sarah understands, the coming backlash is going to be AGAINST those who are in office and it doesn't matter who it is or what office it is.
Obama's failures here are so bad he's actually leading government, in general, into a situation where it will be perceived, correctly, to be the major impediment and problem in every venue in life.
Slowly even the shubs and zuuls who always vote Democrat in California are coming to the realization that it's the government employees unions, and their captive repesentatives in the legislature, that've bankrupt the state and destroyed the values of their homes.
the box is killing us conservatives... primary system has to be scrapped ... new thinking is needed politically to help us bring back our roots to the forefront
Newt’s first wife was a public school teacher and he was her student. The woman should have been safely in prison. Then, when she came down with cancer she’d not missed Newt’s visits.
Personally I think the one line
ONLY DEAD FISH GO WITH THE FLOW
says it all for Sarah
I've added to it for my newest tagline.
.....Sarah is very much alive and knows the significance of Salmon swimming upstream to reach their goal.
We once took a couple hours out of a trip to observe a female salmon in an extemely shallow stream make her way to a small pool under a beautiful waterfall to lay her eggs. A distance of just a few feet....
Sarah understands the importance of the job she has undertaken and is willing to work to get there.
GOD BLESS SARAH! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Mr. Newt, from the time back in high school when his Special Orders on the Floor helped me earn an A in America Government. I’ve been disappointed as well, but I do appreciate that he didn’t let his detractors defeat him completely, that he is still putting out the ideas and motivating others to do what perhaps, as you say, he himself cannot, due to all manner of reasons.
Time to read the old testament and those anointed to do God's will...Those who said..."Here I am Lord!"
Sarah didn't make this decision without a great deal of prayer.
Excellent point.
I like that!
And yet, the GOP entitlement venue doesn't see it that way. Too bad for them.
That “Republican List” has given us a continuous string of losers, with the single recent exception of Reagan - but Reagan was never ON that list! Yes, I know that Bush I rode in on Reagan’s coat-tails, and Bush II managed to collect enough electoral votes (with a lot of help) to occupy the office, but neither of them really energized the party or had enough coat-tails to claim a mandate for change like Reagan did. Dole and McCain were losers from the start - just like every old guard republican on the current list.
Palin is NOT on that list, and that is a distinct advantage for her because the anger in pubbie-land is palpable. She is popular and highly visible WITHOUT that baggage, and has the potential to collect TONS of IOU’s from all around the Country WITHOUT the help of the usual kingmakers. She just needs to stick to her principles, articulate them clearly, and champion policies that advance them, and she will be light-years ahead of her possible competition.
Frontrunner of what? The GOP? The GOP can cram it. Now if she is the frontrunner to lead us to a return to the Constitution outside the GOP, Liberty, reclaiming our roots, culture, way of life and is proud of the old evil white men...that is a different story but th GOP? F**k the GOP! F**k multiculturalism, F**k the invasion of country encouraged by both the GOP and Donkeys, F**k Marxism, F**k degrading and spiting on where we come from, our heroes and our founders, F**k the RHINOs, Neocons and most of all F**k the no backbone "conservatives". F**k all who represent what our current country and government has become and all those who disdain our founding, history, white people and culture.
One thing is certain, she just made things a lot more interesting. How refreshing.
This is the best thread yet I’ve seen on the Sarah news.
Do we want book learnin or common sense?.....
Wait till certain others starts supporting her: Glenn Beck, Rush, Livine, Coulter, Hannity
