So to serve the state is a humbling responsibility, because I know in my soul that Alaska is of such import, for Americas security, in our very volatile world. And you know me by now, I promised even four years ago to show MY independence no more conventional politics as usual.
And we are doing well! My administration's accomplishments speak for themselves. We work tirelessly for Alaskans.
We aggressively and responsibly develop our resources because they were created to be used to better our world... to HELP people... and we protect the environment and Alaskans (the resource owners) foremost with our policies.
Heres some of the things weve done:
We created a petroleum integrity office to oversee safe development. We held the line FOR Alaskans on Point Thomson and finally for the first time in decades theyre drilling for oil and gas.
We have AGIA, the gasline project a massive bi-partisan victory (the vote was 58 to 1!) also succeeding as intended - protecting Alaskans as our clean natural gas will flow to energize us, and America, through a competitive, pro-private sector project. This is the largest private sector energy project, ever. THIS is energy independence.
And ACES another bipartisan effort is working as intended and industry is publicly acknowledging its success. Our new oil and gas clear and equitable formula is so Alaskans will no longer be taken advantage of. ACES incentivizes NEW exploration and development and JOBS that were previously not going to happen with a monopolized North Slope oil basin.

Palin PING!
Anyone on or off the Palin ping, write me.
She gave a great speech!
Dude, am I not on the ping list??
You have been added now. Quite funny... Palin resigns, and the number of Palin Ping sign-ups explodes.
Just thinking....how is her son that’s in the Army? Is he deployed?
I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.
I think Sarhah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.
...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!
I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.
GO SARAH GO!

Perhaps she is going to take on the Obermessiah.
In the words of General MacArthur ..., We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.
You put that better than I could..
God speed Sarah..you will be missed and you are a great Amercian..
Also loved the subtle dig at current Congressional travel expenses swelling by saying most lame ducks “travel” but she wanted to do something that would both help Alaska and not cost Alaska. *LOL*
She is a much better speaker than 0. TOTUS has been slacking of late.
Of all the nationally known Republicans she's the only one with the stones to do it.
McPain would have been much better off if he'd turned her loose and let her follow her instincts.
Dittos that. Also, the left may think they wore her down but I have a gut feeling they ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

***********************************************************
She has done so much! She is gonna make a great POTUS!!!!
I don’t think Sarah’s going anywhere, other than into the thick of the fray.
While I have not made a secret around here of my political opposition to Governor Palin based on several fundamental constitutional disagreements I have with her, I find her conduct today to be admirable. She seems to have put the good of her state and of her family ahead of any other consideration. That’s a rare thing these days in American politics.
Contrasted with Mark Sanford, who seems to care little about the good of South Carolina or of his family, her actions look particularly good.
Your words will come to pass!
