WASHINGTON -- Republicans seized on downbeat economic news to say the $787 billion economic stimulus plan isn't working as advertised and took swipes at President Barack Obama's broader agenda, while the White House vowed to do "whatever it takes" to revive the still-struggling economy.
The unemployment rate rose to 9.5% last month, as nonfarm payrolls sank by 467,000, disappointing numbers that raise questions about when the long-awaited economic recovery will finally begin. Since the recession started at the end of 2007, the economy has lost 6.5 million jobs. The jobless rate -- already at its highest level in a quarter century -- is expected to eclipse 10% before the end of the year. (See related article.)
The Republican National Committee said those figures are evidence the stimulus plan, which the administration says will save or create 3.5 million jobs over two years, isn't doing its job.

Two faced LIES! Repeal the income tax for a year and see what the economy does.
Try the end of the summer.
What fight? The Economy is already lost.
He’ll do “whatever it takes” but won’t to “what works”. Obama is a narcissistic POS. He is not a god. Believing what you’re doing is going to fix the economy doesn’t mean it will. I have my doubts about The One’s motives, though. Maybe he really wants to destroy America because he hates white people and middle class people in general.
>> Two faced LIES!
No, just a misprint.
Bambi didn’t say he’d “do whatever it takes”.
He actually said he’d “take whatever you do”.

Can you believe he Gallup approval went +6 over the last week. Just dropped -2 today though. The grip he has one the press/clueless contingent is pretty amazing given the way the world is falling apart.
What it will take is for him to step down.
There can be no financial recovery until he is out of office.
Over and over again, he does precisely the wrong thing. No one can be that stupid. He is purposely destroying us.
Already there, if you look at the BLS data for last month the non-seasonally adjusted data for the U.S. was at 10.02% Unemployment. I have not looked at this months data, but it is worse.
WHHOOOOO! Coming Trainwreck.
Extend the job loss and no job creation for 6 months and when exhaustion of benefits sets in, there will be rioting in the streets in Obozo Country.
100% Correcto!
“He is purposely destroying us”
And I left out the most important part.
This is TREASON!
Unfortunately, it is up to Congress to identify his treason and remove him from office, correct?
WAKE UP NITWITS! The "job" of the stimulus was the indebt us to our knees! Geez, I am SO SICK of these wide-eyed reports about how BamBam et. al. are "fumbling" and "making mistakes", instead of just stating the most obvious truth: Every single thing they are doing is part of their plan to destroy American capitalism and with it our world power.
More unfortunately, some of them are a party to this (in both parties) and should also be impeached for their actions.
This is aimed at destroying the economy and forcing us under foreign global rule and currency. What could be more Treasonous than that?
The president is a traitor and Congress is full of traitors. What do we do about it?
He will have to be removed ala Zelaya. By then, our economy will be ruined. The country voted this jack*ff in, the country deserves its pyrrhic victory. Most of Congress should be arrested for treason, as should much of the MSM.

Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto (Hardcover)
******************************EXCERPT*************************
Author and conservative talk radio host Levin (Rescuing Sprite, Men in Black) takes on the Statist, a liberal straw man, in this collection of polemics against left-wing tenets (like "economic and social justice"), touchstones (like the New Deal) and institutions (strongholds of liberal thought like academia and the mainstream media). With "an insatiable appetite for control" and a veil of "moral indignation," Levin finds the Statist not only in congressional Democrats and President Obama's White House, but in "neo-Statists" like compassionate conservative Michael Gerson, and the Fed and Treasury under G.W. Bush. Many of Levin's arguments reiterate familiar tropes, including a "strict constructionist" view of the Constitution that sees Social Security as patently un-American.
