U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT ADMITS -- SADDAM HUSSEIN WAS DEVELOPING NUCLEAR BOMB

Saddam's Terror Links (He Had Links to al Qaeda)

On June 9th [2004], the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission briefed the Security Council about the export of Iraqi WMD, missile and nuclear components shipped out of Iraq before, during and after the invasion. As reported by MENL news service, UNMOVIC acting executive chairman Demetrius Perricos told the Council, "The removal of these materials from Iraq raises concerns with regard to proliferation risks," and said inspectors found Iraqi WMD and missile components shipped abroad that still contained UN inspection tags.

The World Tribune reported on Perricos's briefing. "He said the Iraqi facilities were dismantled and sent both to Europe and around the Middle East at the rate of about 1,000 tons of metal a month... The Baghdad missile site contained a range of WMD and dual-use components, UN officials said. They included missile components, reactor vessel and fermenters ... required for the production of chemical and biological warheads. 'It raises the question of what happened to the dual-use equipment, where is it now and what is it being used for,' Perricos's spokesman, said. 'You can make all kinds of pharmaceutical and medicinal products with a fermenter. You can also use it to breed anthrax.'"

Source

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. James Clapper, head of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, said vehicle traffic photographed by U.S. spy satellites indicated that material and documents related to the arms programs were shipped to Syria."

Source

"Last month Moshe Yaalon, who was Israel's top general at the time, said Iraq transported WMD to Syria six weeks before Operation Iraqi Freedom began.

Last March, John A. Shaw, a former U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said Russian Spetsnaz units moved WMD to Syria and Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.

"While in Iraq I received information from several sources naming the exact Russian units, what they took and where they took both WMD materials and conventional explosives," Mr. Shaw told NewsMax reporter Charles Smith.

Retired Marine Lt. Gen. Michael DeLong was deputy commander of Central Command during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In September 2004, he told WABC radio that "I do know for a fact that some of those weapons went into Syria, Lebanon and Iran."

In January 2004, David Kay, the first head of the Iraq Survey Group which conducted the search for Saddam's WMD, told a British newspaper there was evidence unspecified materials had been moved to Syria from Iraq shortly before the war.

"We know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some components of Saddam's WMD program," Mr. Kay told the Sunday Telegraph.

Also that month, Nizar Nayuf, a Syrian journalist who defected to an undisclosed European country, told a Dutch newspaper he knew of three sites where Iraq's WMD was being kept. They were the town of al Baida near the city of Hama in northern Syria; the Syrian air force base near the village of Tal Snan, and the city of Sjinsar on the border with Lebanon.

In an addendum to his final report last April, Charles Duelfer, who succeeded David Kay as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said he couldn't rule out a transfer of WMD from Iraq to Syria.

"There was evidence of a discussion of possible WMD collaboration initiated by a Syrian security officer, and ISG received information about movement of material out of Iraq, including the possibility that WMD was involved. In the judgment of the working group, these reports were sufficiently credible to merit further investigation," Mr. Duelfer said."

"The short answer to the question of where the WMD Saddam bought from the Russians went was that they went to Syria and Lebanon," former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense John A. Shaw told an audience Saturday at a privately sponsored "Intelligence Summit" in Alexandria, Va. (www.intelligencesummit.org).

Source

"We are not talking about a large stockpile of weapons," he said. "But we know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some components of Saddam's WMD programme. Precisely what went to Syria, and what has happened to it, is a major issue that needs to be resolved."

Source

"Two days before the war, on March 17th, we saw through multiple intelligence channels - both human intelligence and techinical (satellite, eavesdrop) intelligence - large caravans of people and things, including some of the top 55 Iraqis, going to Syria."

‘satellite photos of the movements confirm that the WMD in Syria are at military bases,’

Lol. That’s what got us in the mess. If you don’t have Humint on the ground then all you will have is pictures.

The photos don’t confirm anything.

Nope, Bush lied. There can be no other alternative.

After all, Saddam's WMDs were not neatly labeled and stacked like cord wood at the Gates of Baghdad upon the arrival of the ass-kicking US military.

I believe that is the ONLY scenario, under which the presence of WMDs would have been accepted by the international and domestic anti-American Left.

Pre-war quotes from "lying" House and Senate democrats...

"In 1998, the United States also changed its underlying policy toward Iraq from containment to regime change and began to examine options to effect such a change, including support for Iraqi opposition leaders within the country and abroad.

In the 4 years since the inspectors, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al-Qaida members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001."

"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein wiill continue to increase his capability to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East which, as we know all too well, affects American security."

John Kerry on the floor of the Senate
October 2002:

"With respect to Saddam Hussein and the threat he presents, we must ask ourselves a simple question:

Why?

Why is Saddam Hussein pursuing weapons that most nations have agreed to limit or give up?

Why is Saddam Hussein guilty of breaking his own cease-fire agreement with the international community?

Why is Saddam Hussein attempting to develop nuclear weapons when most nations don't even try, and responsible nations that have them attempt to limit their potential for disaster?

Why did Saddam Hussein threaten and provoke?

Why does he develop missiles that exceed allowable limits?

Why did Saddam Hussein lie and deceive the inspection teams previously?

Why did Saddam Hussein not account for all of the weapons of mass destruction which UNSCOM identified?

Why is he seeking to develop unmanned airborne vehicles for delivery of biological agents?

Georges Sada wrote a book “Saddam's Secrets” told of this and other stuff. They flew out drums of “yellow cake” to Syria on planes that had been stripped for the purpose. They were supposed to be humanitarian flights.

Translation:

Topic: We have information about the location of the weapons of mass destruction.

On the tenth of Muharram [first month of Islamic calendar], prior to the invasion of Iraq, 50 Iraqi trucks entered Syria as convoys. I met some of the drivers; they didn't know what they were carrying in the trucks

The loads came from an unknown place in Baghdad. Iraqi intelligence was escorting them. During their trip, the truck drivers were stopped and asked frequently by the intelligence officers about whether or not they knew what they were carrying. The drivers said they didn't know, and the intelligence officers thanked them.

Upon their arrival to the Dayr al-Azur region, the drivers were ordered to get out of their vehicles. The Syrian intelligence officials got into the trucks and drove them to a large barracks for unloading. The Iraqi drivers got their trucks back and $200 as a reward.

The drivers told me it was their second time bringing such secret shipments, and that the first time was on the first of Muharram.

I have a friend in Syria working at a Syrian company. He owns half the company and the other half belongs to a Syrian businessman. This Iraqi person is a former counselor at Iraqi embassies and has strong connections with the Iraqi embassy in Syria. He knows all the Iraqi intelligence officers there, and he does not know that I am working with the Iraqi opposition in Syria.

I used to visit him daily during that period and listen to important news. When the trucks arrived in Syria I visited him and told him that Iraqi weapons had entered Syria. He said "who told you this?" I said I had my own sources. He said not to tell anyone about it because they really had entered.

This is old news. Except that the Alphabet Networks dropped the football and failed to report the truth. GWB failed to get the message out to Americans. He failed miserably to discuss WMD. I said on FR back in 2006 that Bush's failure to get the truth out would destroy the GOP. What happened? The nation loses Big time. We now have Obama for four years.

Bush made a fool of himself laughing and joking about these weapons -- as seen in dozens of YouTube videos - ('They must be here somewhere' - He laughs)

I have been on top of the smuggled WMD since early 2004. Check my freeper page if you doubt me . . .
