Nope, Bush lied. There can be no other alternative.

After all, Saddam's WMDs were not neatly labeled and stacked like cord wood at the Gates of Baghdad upon the arrival of the ass-kicking US military.

I believe that is the ONLY scenario, under which the presence of WMDs would have been accepted by the international and domestic anti-American Left.

I only wish Bush hadn’t put so much behind the WMD claim and just said “Saddam needs to go.” Bush attempted to use the outstanding UN resolutions as justification. That was a mistake because the UN is a joke.

After 911, any UN oversight was instantly void in my opinion.

Get real....most likely the left would say it was a
“photo-op” falsely made by the military to justify an
unjust war...the leftists are such brainwashed folk they
couldn’t make a correct judgment an anything if the judgement
would invalidate their beliefs....

There are scientists who say that Saddam was SEEKING WMD but they say that they subverted his plans and saw that fruitful production did not occur.

Doesn’t matter.

He was akin to a felon out on parole attempting to buy a firearm. The attempt is in violation of his parole. Saddam was in violation of the original peace agreement from Gulf War I.
