WMBB News 13 ^ | 30 June 2009 | Mary Scott Speigner

Posted on 07/01/2009 5:03:38 PM PDT by Jacquerie

A full out protest happened, all because people don’t approve of the way Congressman Allen Boyd is voting, especially for the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

When asked if the congressman had read the bill, he said he has not personally read the entire thing, but that his staff has.

In other words, our once Constitutional republic is now an oligarchy lead by San Fran Nan. Rat reps don't even demand that they be given time to read what they vote for. Boyd is just a whore. His conservative district isn't buying his BS.

Willful dereliction of duty and false swearing are his crimes.

he said he has not personally read the entire thing, but that his staff has.

That’s the standard dodge these days. If the staff reads the bills and tell the congressmen how to vote we damn sure don’t need the congressmen because they’re admitting they’re useless figureheads.

How did he read the 300 pages that were put in at the last minute.

Kudos to those that protested him.

Guess he needs a lesson from Dr. Coburn who even reads our mail to him and replies. He won’t vote for a bill unless he knows what it contains. Shame they are not all like that.

The biggest reason this assclown should be kicked outta office is this
crud that this CRAP And Raid bill is only going to cost $150 a year!
Any putz that believes this load, would have no problem believing that National Health Care is gonna be budget neutral.

Run hin out of office!!!!!!

My Congress clown dirt bag, allen boyd has an American Conservative Union rating of 16. He votes with Pelousi and her homos 84% of the time. When he is at home in his district he comes across as an ‘aw shucks, good ‘ol boy. I detest him and despise what his party is doing to my country.

“It’s more in the line of $150 a year,” Boyd said.”

A tax increase, whether $150 or $3000 a year, which is contrary to Obama’s campaign pledge.

Not for nothing, but when it comes to this bill, it shouldn't matter whether it was read. If the Representative in question can't figure out that Cap and Trade is a disaster regardless of the details, there isn't anything that could have been read that would make a bloody difference.

Nevertheless, by all means hammer these clymers for not reading the bills they vote for. I'm not saying to let them off the hook, but I also don't want to give them any chance to claim some type nuanced reason for voting as they do because of something in a bill. It should be pretty simple: free economy vs. command economy. Pick a philosophy and vote accordingly. Like I said, pretty simple.

If he isn’t reading the bill before voting on it and is just depending on staff summaries (I don’t believe that his staff read the bill either) he doesn’t deserve to be in Congress.

I ask all to consider that an oligarchy of the democrat leadership chose to conceal the contents of a bill from fellow members of the House of Representatives.

The very branch designed to be responsive and close to the people was cut off from deliberative debate so that a cadre of Radical Leftists at the top of the rat leadership could get their way.

We have become so used to Constitutional abuses for so long they no longer matter. My rat congress idiot allen boyd doesn't care that he voted for a bill he never read.

“So, is he going to get voted out of office?”

If I have anything to do with it he will. He is my Rep and I e-mailed him and called his office several times telling him how his constituents felt about this bill. I assured him I would do everything in my power to see him defeated next time around if he voted for it.
