July 2009 sees nearly 6 months since George W Bush entered private life and as we have done in previously monthly threads I have collated photos from the month we are in from previous years.

Tonight I will post July 2001 and July 2002 photos and then over the next few days post 2003 and 2004 photos.

I have also found some photos from this June which I will also post in the next few days starting with one of them as the photo of the month.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

Sorry they took so long but with dad coming home I had my hands full. Things are looking so much better he can now walk to his chair and today the physios got him to walk up and down his end of the room twice. He was exhausted afterwards but a good exhasted. They are doing physio about 3 times a week and aim within a month for him to be able to get in and out of a car.

Thank you for posting, Snugs.

Of all the pictures of George W. Bush, this is the one that tells me the most about the man.

While I disagreed with him on so many critical issues, I did not doubt that he loved his country and wanted the best for it, and for us.

If you have Quicktime, here is a link to a video on my website that also says a lot about George W. Bush (If you don't have Quicktime, you can read it):

Keeping your dad in my prayers (and you, too!), that all continues to go smoothly.

I have “met” the nicest people on FR and threads like this one.

Thanks so much Snugs. OH how I miss the ‘Day in the life’ posts and daily miss our President.. He showed such Class, Character, Dignity, and Respect for the office he held.

It's been one year soon that we lost our beloved Tony Snow. and now that joker that covers that office is so disrespectful. I can't even watch him.

looking forward to 2010 and 2012 and a REAL change..
hope you dad is well and that you are all safe.

Carole~~ Somerset,PA.

Impressive. It said a lot...no hesitation, no waffling. Could you see Obama, Clinton or...CARTER doing that?

Glad you liked it...:)

Though Bush was not perfect (none of us are), nor did I agree with each and every policy move he made, I do however truly appreciate his service to and for this country during a time when strong leadership was needed and required.

Thank you.

One of my favorites.

Enterprise, AL- On March 3, 2007 President George W. Bush visited the devastated community of Enterprise, Alabama, ravaged by a savage tornado that took the young lives of 8 high school students at Enterprise High School.President Bush toured the area in Marine 1, viewing the remnants of a once peaceful Alabama town.

Arriving at the High School at approximately 8:30, he walked the remains the High School with Principal Rick Ranier, stopping in Hallway 3, the site of the deaths of 8 young Enterprise High School students ...

Megan Parks raised her hand slightly, then hung her head and began to cry. President Bush put his arms around Megan and Sarah Carroll and all three cried. A secret service officer standing nearby, although not able to hear every word, reported that he could hear the President quoting scripture and then he said, "It's tough being President, isn't it?"
