ISLAMABAD, Pakistan A militant commander in northwest Pakistan tore up a peace deal with the Pakistani government Tuesday, dealing a major blow to the government's campaign against Islamist insurgents in the extremist-controlled Waziristan region.

Omar wants Nazir and Bahadur to unite with Baitullah, combine all of their fighters to resist the Paki's. Omar correctly believes that if they don't, Baitullah will be wiped out and the Paki's will then go after Bahadur and Nazir separately.
Nazir is not on board yet but is offering safe passage of Baitullah and his fighters to Afghanistan. If all three groups unite they would have about 25,000 fighters and the Paki's would not be able to defeat them without our direct and open air support, which the Paki's are embarrassed to accept.
The Paki's are now getting our drone aerial surveillance for the push into Waziristan and is also waiting to attack until we can hurry-hurry body armor and kevlar helmets to them.
Either way it's going to be a major fight.
