A congressman from the Philadelphia suburbs will challenge U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter in the Democratic Senate primary.
In an interview with The Wayne Independent Wednesday morning, U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa.,confirmed his intention to run against Specter, a long-time Republican who switched to the Democratic party earlier this year.
I am going to get into the race against Arlen Specter ... for senator, said Sestak in his first media interview as part of a three-week tour through all of the Commonwealths 67 counties.
Wayne County was his first stop where he met with local Democrats prior to his interview with The Wayne Independent.
Polls show Toomey doing better against Sestak than Specter.
Go Sestak Go! I’ll send him a couple bucks in the primary. LOL
Sphincter vs. $hitstack... what a wonderful set of choices for the rodentry.
Good question! Them slestaks are hard to put down!
look for Arlen to flip-flop again on card check in an attempt to fend him off
“Toomey would have a shot against Specter. Hed get killed against Sestak.
Sestak is a big lib, but masquerades it well with his Navy background.”

I think that by 2010, the people of Pennsylvania (as well as the rest of the nation) will have it up to their eyebrows of a 1-party run government.....of a country and economy that have been run into the ground.
That will really benefit Toomey.
Hummmm,....sounds familiar. What was the name of that barnacle that served in Vietnam with me, oh yeah, John Fing Kerry.
Consider this an official Navy apology to you for: Jimmah Carter, John Fing Kerry, and Joke Sestak.
Sestak really should confer with Hoeffel to find out what happens to a candidate in PA who bucks both the Democrat and Republicrat parties’ candidate, Specter. (It spells the end of his brief ignonymous political life.)
Any truth to the rumor that Specter was blackmailed into changing party over an allegation of homosexual activity?
Payback’s a b!tch, eh, Specter?
One thing for sure, PA people are experts at picking the worst possible candidates.
What makes you think enough people in Philadelphia will give up on socialism to allow Toomey to cobble together a majority? PA people really believe in government programs. I guess they are un-Franklin.
Isn’t Specter too old for that?
ping
What if Arlen were also nominated by a smaller party after losing to Sestak?
“Toomey would be more likely to WIN against Spector becuase of the stay at home effect of the RATs rather than against Sestak.”
++++++++++++
Interesting theory...
“Any bets Arlen switches back? :-)”
LOL - that’d be worse than Brett Favre un-retiring..
“Sorry, Insane Lefties are whats in now,”
+++++++++
Question is, will that still be in in 2010, and certainly 2012...we can only pray and work toward NO.
