WASHINGTON (AP) - A powerful House committee chairman with a central role in President Barack Obama's global warming and health care legislation has been hospitalized.
Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., was not feeling well Tuesday and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for "routine testing," spokeswoman Karen Lightfoot said Wednesday.

You know, I would actually give a crap what happens to Waxman if he admitted himself to MLK-Harbor, instead of the best of the best, Cedar Sinai. Waxman thinks the world of purely public health care, why didn’t he just head down there?

Surprisingly, didn’t get flamed. As you mention, a lot of people are beginning to realize that this isn’t just some casual disagreement we have with our opposition, that we are in a genuine war.
I have noticed a shifting of opinion on here, towards more seriousness. And I have also noticed all altogether overdue toughening beginning on our side. We’ll need to be tough-minded for what is to come.
There’s a 4th DIM who hasn’t been on duty because of illness, but I can’t remember who.
They will have to start convening Congress from the hospital
