GOVERNMENT HACK OF THE DAY
NEALZ NUZE ^ | June 29, 2009 | NEAL BOORTZ

Posted on 06/29/2009 5:52:24 AM PDT by Turret Gunner A20

California State Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, a Democrat, did an interview with the LA Times. Thought you may enjoy her response to the following question: How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature's work?

Bass' response: The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: "You vote for revenue and your career is over." I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it's about free speech, but it's extremely unfair.

Now that's a first. I know that politicians don't particularly like talk radio, and I know that many politicians are quietly plotting the demise of conservative talk radio wherever they can find it and by whatever means. This, though, is the first time I've heard a politician call talk show hosts terrorists. She wonders how in the world we can allow talk radio terrorism to exist.

OK .. so this is just one barking moonbat from California ... though a powerful one. Let's see how long it takes for the rest of the left to pick up the "terrorism" gambit.

And she cannot bring herself to utter the word Tax. Must think Talk show Terrorists don’t know what the word “revenue” means.

The political power of redefining language is so great that George Orwell included an entire appendix to "1984" as a how-to guide.

Her party is run by terrorist. I think she forgot to mention that in the interview.

As Karen is a spokesperson for the Democratic party, she is right! If we ask our Congressman to actually read the bill and vote the “will of the people” that's terrorism.

“You vote for revenue and your career is over.”

The problematic watch-word in this statement is career. Serving is not supposed to be a life-long guaranteed job.
And, yes, if a representative votes in a manner that a talk radio personality criticizes, and suggests that voters vote the bum out, its simply free speech.

The California political hack that made the statement has no business in her job and she may be a reflection of why California is as screwed up and ungovernable as it is.

Could Karen Bass be David Letterman's illegitimate love-child?

Karen

The guy her mom used meet nights after his show.

She basically accused people of being terrorists if they tell politicians they will be voted out of office if they raise taxes. Yet recently, she punished Democrat Juan Arambula because he was advocating cuts in spending. She is one huge ass hat hypocrite. I am glad she is leaving next year, but this being Kaleefornia, there will be another jackass to replace her.

What is it about liberalism that draws the most stupid females ever to darken the earth? And the dregs of that stupidity become congresswenches or senatewenches.

Thank God that all the ones I know are very, very smart...and not coincidentally, all conservative.

I don’t hope that any time soon the voters will get tired of these brain dead morons and clean house. As has been observed, the politicians are a reflection of their voters.

And Hussein & Co. wanted to deny the sale of a gun to those on the “Terror Watch List.” Sounds very “common-sensical, doesn’t it! That is, until all who oppose Hussein are suddenly added to the List!

As you note, there has been a curious and disturbing trend in this direction lately. Talk radio hosts are "terrorists". Firearms rights activists are "insurrectionists". Opponents of radical environmentalist mandates are guilty of "treason". Tea Parties are filled with scary people, and need to be shut down.

The pattern here is unmistakable and I believe, not accidental. It appears as though there exists a coordinated strategy on the Left to delegitimize the various elements of the conservative opposition. Their primary tactic appears to be accusation of disloyalty to the Federal government, which the Left now completely controls.

If I am right about this, more such examples will be forthcoming soon, and if so, those responsible on the Left ought to know they are playing a very, very dangerous game.
