Remember the good old dayswhen dissent was patriotic? Fuggedaboutit. Dissent isn't merely unpatriotic now. It's downright treasonous. Just ask Paul Krugman.
If, like virtually all House Republicans and a handful of Dems, you don't agree with the likes of Henry Waxman on the need to take radical measures on the climate, you're guilty of . . . "a form of treason." Treason against the planet, to be precise.
That was Krugman's formulation in his New York Times column of today, Betraying The Planet.
Krugman has obviously drunk deep from the carafe of Al Gore Kool-Aid, writing:

they are certifiably freaking insane!
Krugman is a prime example of the fact that the word “Nobel” means about as much as the word “Yugo” when it comes to brains.
Medicine and Physics awards are still excepted - but for how long, we won’t know.
If this be treason: make the most of it.
I can only imagine what’s on his hard drive.
What is this guy, some kind of demagogue? What the heck is treason “against the planet”? Regulating CO2 is only going to make a few people rich, and the Democrats more powerful.
The treason he’s talking about is treason to the United Nations. It is cited 22 times in the cap and trade bill. The bill orders the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Energy to submit to the United Nations for direction in their regulatory efforts, fees and fines.
Refusing to vote for it is treason against the UN. The bill is a constitution-killer and sovereignty destroyer. The Congressmen will claim, like NAFTA “ I didn’t read it” only this bill will end the nation.
Now in Honduras they know what to do about politicians who violate their constitution. When will Americans stand up for ours?
Well of course Krugman is right. The debate is over and dissent is considered reactionary. Soviet Russia showed the way in dealing with reactionaries. A new judiciary for the preservation of the planet should be formed immediately and political show trials should be televised to demonstrate we’re serious about saving the planet.
Exactly. I was going to link that if it wasn’t already.
Basically, the EPA suppressed a study and intimidated the person that was going to release it because it threatened their department’s power.
Well he ought to know what terrorist are, because he writes for a terrorist organization. He represents the state run media, and communist party line. As far as terrorist, for rejecting the largest tax increase in human history, anyone who voted for it can be defined as an economic terrorist. Economic terrorism is treasonous, and makes his communist party full of traitors.
Paul Krugman is a “a form of” child molester.
The more I hear stuff like this come from he left, the more I an convinced that there is a method to this madness. They know their king’s policies are going to horribly affect the middle and lower class, plus small business owners that they want to marginalize any opposition early on. But you cannot enact them when there are Paul Reveres sending out the warning message, first.
So, you marginalize them
Krugman’s a jacka$$. Ignore him.
After reading his article and its comments I get the uneasy feeling that there are a whole lot of “deep thinkers” out there who would give two thumbs up to the mass incarceration of “deniers.”
I meant to thank you for your ping in the above post but was distracted.
