There's one corner of the country where Democrats are growing increasingly disenchanted with President Obama, and it's right in his front yard.
In the District of Columbia, which gave 93 percent of its votes to Obama last November, dismay is turning to anger in some Democratic leaders, who have totted up a list of instances they see as disses of their city.
The most egregious to them is the White House's silence about a bill that would have given city residents a voting representative in Congress, despite Obama's campaign promise that he would enthusiastically back it. They're also ticked that Obama won't follow the lead of Bill Clinton, who put D.C. license plates that bore the phrase "Taxation Without Representation" on his presidential limo as a symbolic protest against the long-denied voting rights.
And, in the wake of this past week's deadly Metro crash, they're outraged that Obama's budget didn't include $150 million for badly needed subway improvements -- even though the George W. Bush administration had authorized the funds.
In the hours after the crash last Monday, the message broadcast throughout the Metro system was remarkable in its understatement, referring as it did to delays caused by a train having "mechanical difficulties." Brought to mind NASA's jarring choice of the noun "anomaly" to describe the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger in 1986.
Obama is really going to be the next JC... however, even Jimmy didn't have Nancy Pelosi or Reid backing him up... so this is going to be interesting to watch.
We don’t need voting congressmen from D.C.
Even if it was constitutionally allowed, the people of DC are simply too stupid to deserve voting representation. I like how they complained about 0bama gutting the school voucher program. What a bunch of stupid suckers.
My favorite is where Obama got rid of the little school voucher program that was sending some D.C. public school kids to the fancy private school Obama sends his own brats to.
Image that, a Dem politician lied on his campaign. I beleive Bugs said it best when he said "Whatta bunch or maroons"
Hell no, can’t have the public school trash attending the same school as my little Tiffany and Brantley. The private schools are where the future kings/queens of industry and government with rich parents go to get a real education. The public schools are where the masses go to get dumbed down and have a great future as waitresses, ditch-diggers, and hotel room cleaners. Now that’s something the corporate types and govt. officials can agree on!
Obama is like a person who farts all the time. Man, he’s annoying. But hey, those those DC dwellers voted for him. Now they can live with him (unfortunately, we have to live with him, too, but at least we don’t have to live in the same city with him).
Maybe they will understand that skin color to them is not the same as skin color to Obambi. Black isn’t brotherhood to him. He does not share their experiences; nor their heritage. I would safely say that they got conned right along with all Obambi voters.
If the election were held today, knowing what they know, Obama would still get 93% of the vote. Tell 'em to quit whining!
I wonder if they'll start burning Barry in effigy when their welfare checks start bouncing...

Yep exactly. I don’t understand how blacks went crazy over Barry. He’s not black in the American sense. And it’s a well known fact that African blacks despise American blacks.
DC can't have "congressmen," voting or otherwise because it is not a State. Look it up in the Constitution ... as if that matters any more.
But by that logic California is out too.
I’m certain they will all still vote for Obama and whoever is running on the DEM side of life in 2010 and 2012. There is not a chance in hell they are going to vote for a conservative.
