Same-sex 'marriage' loses support among Americans

A recent poll indicates that Americans are not as supportive of homosexual "marriage" as they once were.

homosexual flagA CBS-New York Times survey shows that support for redefining marriage to include same-gender couples has declined. Jenny Tyree of Focus on the Family Action tells OneNewsNow that, according to The New York Times, the figure dropped slightly -- but she believes nine percentage points is more than slightly.

"I think that this really digs into what Americans really feel about marriage -- that they like that [marriage is] defined between a man and a woman," she contends. "And also it's a bit of a backlash against the five states whose legislative bodies have redefined marriage very recently within the last several months."

Part of the drop may also relate to the continuing battle to defeat California's Proposition 8, she says, in which voters defined marriage as between a man and a woman.

marriage"I think Americans really saw the intolerance that occurred after the Proposition 8 vote back in November," she recalls. "They saw that many who want to redefine marriage were not happy with really what the people decide, and what the people decided in California was to continue to define marriage the way it has been defined."

After the election, several lawsuits were filed to try to overturn the voters' decision. Another federal lawsuit challenging it was filed just last week. Tyree believes the poll also sends a strong message to the White House, which has stated as a goal to repeal the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

You know how the wacko Lib nutjobs are mocking those of us patriots who are questioning the Usurper’s eligibility, and saying that America has voted and spoken, and there is nothing we can do about it?

And these say gay Liberal nutjobs turn around and want to overturn Cali’s Prop 8, even though the people of California have voted and and spoken?

and you know how these same nutjobs protest the mormon church and conservatives for voting for Prop 8, but then don’t dare protest minoritiy churches and communities, even though minorities voted for Prop 8 in huge proportions?

and you know how these same nutjobs pushed the corrupt Usurper trash down our throats, even though the Usurper is AGAINST gay marriage?

the utter HYPOCRISY is mind boggling. I personally don’t care about gay marriage one way or the other, but I hate hypocrisy and liars. And because of the way they rallied for the Usurper, who will destroy our country, I will rally against gay marriage, if only to comment on hypocrisy.

Get the straight gay marriage advocates....your cause will NEVER survive as long as you are hypocrites. you have NO credibility. If and when you are outside the whitehouse protesting the Usurper’s negative views on gay marriage, will I start to listen to you.

Until then, Prop 8 has passed, the people have spoken.

DEAL WITH IT.

It would lose even more support if every time Barney Frank was on TV with a split-screen view of him shown naked with a bent-over page.

Marriage is between a man and a woman.

If the GLBTs want to come up with a word for what they have, they’re welcome to do it. But the word “marriage” is taken.

Part of the drop may also relate to the continuing battle to defeat California's Proposition 8,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Homosexuals are bullies! That's what the public has seen.

They've seen that once homosexual marriage is approved in Massachusetts that parents can no longer “opt-out” from the homosexual indoctrination in the schools. Why? Because homosexual marriage is now the law and must be commonly accepted as a “natural” part of the community.

They've seen the photographer in Arizona persecuted because he refuse to photograph a homosexual union ceremony.

They saw a Miss California dumped for **politely** giving an opinion.

They watched men and women drummed out their jobs after Prop 8, churches and temples desecrated, and little old ladies throw to the ground.

They see SB 777 being implemented in the California schools, and watched California school children marching in gay parades and being buses to homosexual marriages.

They aren't impressed when the Catholic Church is forced out of adoption services in Massachusetts.

And...Gay parades around this nation are disgusting!

Geeze! Is is any wonder that support for gay marriage is dwindling?

we the people will be tolerant of many things. we live and let live....until you start pushing us around. we will be patient with your nonsense and let you do what you want until you start demanding that we MUST do what you want. if you get ugly and obnoxious we will push back. we will not tolerate you any longer. if our government starts forcing things we do not want on us, we WILL push back. the gay marriage advocates became violent, ugly, and nasty , we the people said NO. when the state governments ignored our wishes and approved gay marriage, we say NO. i do hope those idiots in D.C. are paying attention. because they are doing all kinds of things to which our response will be a very loud and clear NO!

2008 Libertarian Party Platform:

Homosexuals: 1.3 Personal Relationships
Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the rights of individuals by government, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships.

Yep, Americans have seen a little behind the curtain and they did not like what they saw.

Carrie Prajean’s ordeal as Miss California was very highly publicized. She probably did more good taking a stand and being persecuted as she was than we can possibly know. It clearly showed the other side as very intolerant and mean spirited. They lost their sympathy factor with the American public.

EXACTLY is right

more and more folk are pissed off at how the homosexual lot have forced their agenda into our schools and lives.

For anyone now saying they should marry it is up to them does not understand the true agenda which they have.

I will never shut up against them and I am young so I have a lot of years speaking out as will my kids and wife

indeed
every state which has said normal marriage is between a man and a woman have voted on the issue, every state which has this sick marriage has not voted on it.

they never had a large support anyway , they wrap themselves in their little circles and think that they now are everyone.
When they do hear someone speak out they gasp , then have a baby tantrum which makes their agenda wake up folk.

agreed

if those like in that party think this country can have any kind of marriage then they ignore what that marriage brings, like teaching it in schools, adoptions, laws etc

I wish they would wake up
