That’s right. And no one can question him.

McCain never said he was the president. He’s a public figure and he’s as free to offer his opinion as anybody else in this country. Bambi’s overreacting because he knows everybody thinks he mishandled it (absolutely the truth).

he has a point, He is the President.

Not mine. He is about as much the President of the US, as nutjob is the president of Iran.

As a public servant, we are his employers. I wish someone would call him out on that.

He will now cease blaming everyone else? How refreshing!

But suppose he is not the president, but a con artist who won the presidency by fraud?

One can dislike him all one wants but he has a point, He is the President.

But why does he need to keep saying it? He's like a child pretending to be President. Of course we knew to expect this once he strutted out his "Office of the President-Elect" nonsense.

"I'm the president of the United States, and I'll carry out my responsibilities the way I think is appropriate."

...reminds me of one of Pookie's cartoons, where the primary Founding Fathers were in a tight group and one asks, "Shouldn't we put something in just in case the people elect a f**king idiot?"

The President of Sophistry. His instincts are all global Pacifist Marxism, but he goes with the flow if his job is on the line, and then he lies about it. A real hero.

Remember the mocking President Bush had to endure after he said, “I’m the decider.”??????

Same thing. No mocking.

Obama's boorish repeating of "I am the President" shows his insecure narcissism. While teaching at an upscale private school (K-8th) I had to work with several staff members who had personality traits similar to our present president.

A music teacher who insisted upon having the students call her by her first name, refused to follow the staff dress code, and who repeatedly self-identified herself not as a humble music teacher, by rather as an musical artiste. To my knowledge she had never performed professionally, not did she have any college degrees.

An administrator who insisted on being addressed as doctor even outside of school hours because she had earned a doctorate of education. In staff meetings whenever she felt she was losing an argument she's remind us that she was the only one room who had a doctorate of education. Her only in classroom teaching experience was in a demonstration classroom at a university.

Obama has admitted his father was Kenyan, rendering him a NON-naturalized citizen. He is ineligible to be President, regardless of nominations OR elections. The Constitution is VERY clear on this. This is the likely reason for the “birth certificate” issue. Until the birth certificate surfaces (which a North Korean nuke might prevent-!), Obama is a fraudulent “President”.

OTOH, why does he find it neccessary to have to constantly remind himself and others he is president? I don’t recall Bush publically reaffirming his position during his terms. freudianinsecurityatplay i’d guess.

True, but G.W. Bush being the President didn't stop people like Obama from making these same sorts of criticisms about his foreign policy. Heck, how is this any different than Bush's oft-mocked statement that he was "The decider?"

Barack Obama may be the biggest hypocrite in Washington today, which is as awe-inspiring an achievement as being the best baseball player in the Hall at Cooperstown.

Yeah, he’s the President all right, but I for one am tired as hell of listening to him waffling, hedging his bets, and referring to tyrants as The Supreme Leader, exactly as if he was one of Khameini’s followers, then after a week, finally coming around, thinking he’ll look like a hero by saying something long overdue, and pusillanimous at best. “The Education of Barack Obama”. It’s like a bad, bad movie. For Chrissakes, both Sarkozy and Gordo Brown made statements ten times better than his, and much much earlier.
