House to continue Energy Bill Debate with Possible Vote Today
Later today, the House will continue general debate on the American Clean Energy & Security Act, Pres. Obama's climate change legislation. The bill centers on a renewable electicity standard, encouraging the use of renewable energy and a cap-and-trade policy.

Word flying around D.C. as of 1:30 is that Waxman-Markey is being pulled, suggesting Pelosi doesn’t have the votes. It may be they need a little more time to buy off one or two more people, or possibly they simply can’t get enough committed votes (I am sure more than a few Democrats say they will vote “Yes” as necessary, but have a deal for cover with a “No” vote, which is complicating the whip count). Stay tuned. As Drudge would say, developing . . .

They should rename this bill “The Congressional Theft and Forced Unemployment Act”
Harry Reid would lie to his own mother. I don’t believe this is DOA. And with all the RINO’s in the Senate I would think this would pass easily.
Just called Snyder (AR) office in DC.
I mentioned 2 things: (1) It’s bad for the economy & regular people; and (2) It’s not based on sound science, as well as the fact that there is much debate over the premises of “global warming”.
They were bought off. More afraid of Pelosi, Obama than the voters.
Deep down they are worried about their re-election prospects. They know how we feel, but still don't care. They are rolling the dice we will forget.
Anyone voting for this bill is not only an idiot they are also very un-American. This, along with other stupid bills under consideration will ensure the death of America.

Well in the case of Dirty Dog Democrats they do as master Pelosi says.
Inslee (D-Washington) accusing opponents of the bill of a lack of optimism and imagination. I guess the same could have been said of opponents of Stalin’s five-year plans. What they didn’t lack, though, was a 9mm hole in the head.
Inslee wants to “put a stamp on America’s future.” I’m going to avoid an off-color pun here.
