Farrah Fawcett, who skyrocketed to fame as one of a trio of impossibly glamorous private eyes on TV's Charlie's Angels, has died after a long battle with cancer. She was 62.
Fawcett died at 9:28 a.m. PST at St. Johns Heath Center in Santa Monica, Calif. She had recently returned to St. John's for treatment of complications from anal cancer, first diagnosed three years ago. Her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal was at her side throughout her final days.
Like so much about Fawcett's life including her bumpy relationship with O'Neal her heroic struggle to beat the disease was closely followed by her legion of fans.

Uncanny!
I remember once I proclaimed in front of my entire family and the row of fans in front of me and behind me at a Seattle Mariner’s game (in the old Kingdome) that “Griffey is going to hit a home run on the next pitch!” And he did! It was just this feeling that I had...it was very strong...almost troubling. I have never made such a prediction before, or after. I remember people staring at me in disbelief after it happened. Just like people are looking at your post in disbelief.
Did you have the same feeling when you made your prediction?
Who will win the presidency in 2012?
Wow!
Cancer isn't caused mechanically by outside agents. Recent thought leans toward a combination of genetic predisposition, dietary or environmental weaknesses and specific viruses.
Describes most of us, I would think.
I thought of your post as soon as I heard this.
