Palin hits back at 'malicious' photo Posted: 10:22 AM ET

(CNN) – A week after a high-profile uproar with comedian David Letterman over the late-night host's joke about her daughter, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is again sharply responding to the appearance of her children in the public sphere.
Palin's latest response comes after liberal Alaskan Blogger Linda Kellen Biegel doctored a photograph of the former Republican gPresidential candidate with her 1-year-old son Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.
Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name "Celtic Diva," superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig's face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor.
"Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child," Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton said in a statement provided to CNN. "The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling."
Stapelton also suggested President Obama should speak out against such behavior from liberal activists.
"Babies and children are off limits," She said. "It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned."

It was at the Apostolic Church of God in south Chicago. The pastor was/is Arthur Brazier. I think the girls look like typical bored kids. He was the guest speaker and told the black male audience that “fatherhood didn’t end at conception” which must mean that it does begins at fatherhood but that idea is actually “above his pay grade.”

There’s a photo of this Kellen woman on her website. Why doesn’t somebody here with photoshop and the know-how place her face over that of a full-blown fat sow, post it here AND at her site (of course she’ll take it down from her site, but she’ll get the message.)
Interesting. If you read the entire story, Palin might be our modern day Esther. I read it before the election, but then realized that if she were - it would mean that Obama would be elected.
I hope that in another 3.5 years there is enough left to save.

In addition to my previous free, although still superb, press comment, here is what Gov. Palin's spokesperson should have said:
"Well, at least this blogger had the good sense not to photoshop in Rush Limbaugh's face."
That's it.
Repeat the phrase "We will not comment further on this matter. The Governor is happy to grant interviews on (insert latest project of substance) Thank you for calling."
If the Left was that convinced that Sarah would take the GOP down in flames they would be promoting her. Instead, they attack and defame.
As Rush said recently (paraphrasing), watch what the Left says and does. They'll tell you what they're thinking every time. And what they're thinking is they want no part of her.

I disagree. Sad as it is most of the voting public forms their perceptions about candidates from the popular media. If they're allowed without challenge to continually paint Palin as stupid and slutty then she becomes stupid and slutty to the public. That's reality. By challenging these characterizations in a vocal way she makes them think and puts them in an impossible situation of defending cruel, thoughtless attitudes and action. Angry letters from the public DO make a difference.
