In a stunning confession, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford admitted Wednesday to being "unfaithful" to his wife during a press conference meant to account for his mysterious week-long absence. "I've let down a lot of people. That's the bottom line," he said. "I've been unfaithful to my wife." Sanford, who just returned from Argentina, said he developed a "relationship with what started out as a dear, dear friend from Argentina."
It better had been with a woman.
Too bad he doesn’t have a D behind his name, then he might still have a career
I knew it.
Man I was hoping he’d make a Presidential run in 2012. That’s clearly not going to happen now.

I mean, ON FATHER’S DAY??? Sanford/Vitter 2012!
Talk about thinking with the wrong head.
Even this guys "other" head is retarded.
At least he didn’t have his wife on the stage with him looking stupid and giving him support.
Geez.. I thought Sanford was a Good guy.....He’s toast for 2012. Sad. Prayers for his wife and for his children......
These guys just don’t get it. You can’t aspire to higher GOP office and eat your sexual cake too.
Been nice knowin’ ya Mark....
It’s not called a wedding VOW for nothing, you jackass.
Well, at least it wasn’t with little boys, like Barney Frank.
The Repubs need to reconstitute the Plumbers and look into the private lives of Democrats.
Guess Sandford is all over with now. That leaves Palin, Bachmann, Jindahl, Cantor, and Romney.
Good to see that a Family Values Conservative Governor is showing the people of our nation how he likes to spend Father’s Day.
I bet his wife and children are happy!
Kinda sad really. I have a lot a respect for what he did about the porkulus. Part of me wants to think that this is a set-up. In the coming days we’ll know more about this.
I guess the 2012 field is narrowing.
If he were a D and it were a same-sex affair, it would be a career builder.
In his position and drop out off the radar like he did without something like this being true.
Am amazed that so many here refused to even believe this as a possibility.
If he had a D behind his name, it would have been up to Matt Drudge or the National Enquirer to report on this. The liberal media actively shadows and investigates Republicans, while ignoring Democrats.
The above is by no means an absolvement of Governor Sanford.
