I so wish I could be there, I will be in spirit though.
IMO, you people who have the courage and convictions to get involved in a mighty way, are the REAL heroes of this time in history and I hope and pray that history records it as that.

I wish I could attend the march, but I doubt I can find the funds. I will be there in spirit though, and as well, if anything happens locally, I’m on it.

My husband is a disabled Vietnam veteran and we can’t make it to Washington, D.C., but we will be attending our hometown tea party on July 10. Thanks for everything, Jim. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t read Free Republic everyday.

Everyone should be carrying large foam gun replicas, like those giant foam fingers at sports games. Nothing that could be taken as realistic, but very visible symbols, with pistols and lots of assault rifles. We could call it “Operation Dry Run.”

How many nights is the average Joe going to stay at the Sheraton? I would guess just the nights of 11 & 12 September but maybe there are some that will also stay an extra night either way?
We are coming from California, so we are planning to stay a few extra days for sightseeing.
My granddaughter is coming with me, so she needs to see our Capitol. She might as well get a history lesson while there. :)

Thanks! I’ve been toying with the possibilities. Blew lots of money going to CPAC in February and so on this trip we’ll have to mind our dimes and nickels.
I lived in DC but showed my wife the sights in the bad weather plus my eccentric extras like the Exorcist steps, the Titanic Monument, and bit of the C&O Canal.
Glad to here you will be coming to DC! Also note that the great room rate of $116 will be the same for extended stay from 9/7 through 9/14.
