A politician made a campaign promise to win votes? And now that he is elected, he can’t live up to that promise??

Here is a beauty from the NYT article:
"The Obama team has also said that it found unexpected technical hurdles in translating its campaign goals to governing. This is especially true regarding the posting of online comments. Ms. Miller of the Sunlight Foundation said that while the pledge was well intentioned, it was meaningless because it would not change anything and it had no mechanism for public comments or initiating a national conversation."
I'll translate that for you:
WE DON'T WANT ANY MORE POSTINGS ABOUT THAT STUPID BIRTH CERTIFICATE ISSUE SHOWING UP ON OBAMA'S WEBSITES. WHO CARES WHERE HIS MAJESTY WAS BORN?
To: Nachum
So far Obama has lied about many important things he said he would do/change. It was all rhetoric/politics as usual.
People have the record of previous behavior, acts, associations, with which to judge and make decisions as to the truth of the many promises a candidate makes when campaigning for the highest office in the land. Too bad so many are completely gullible, and are bamboozled time after time.
We do not learn ... it seems each generation must learn everything anew.
That makes for HARD TIMES.,

Every bill going through Congress should have a complete change log on it. Every word, line or paragraph should have the name of the Congressman (no staffers allowed) who authorized it to be added or deleted along with the date and time of the change. Every vote in committee or on the floor should be attached too - no more voice votes or unanamous consents on bills. Also, the electronic copy with the change log should be the official copy so there is no chance that handwritten changes can be made. If you want it voted on it has to be typed into the computer and associated with the Congressman putting it into consideration (again, no hiding behind anonymous "staffers").

That’s what happened to porkulus, he signed it, handed it to Pelosi and Reid and told them to ram it through! I can only wonder at a senator or representative who will vote on a massive spending bill and not read it.
