[history]
"To the people of Iran: You are rich in culture and talent. You have a right to live under a government that listens to your wishes, respects your talents, and allows you to build better lives for your families. Unfortunately, your government denies you these opportunities, and threatens the peace and stability of your neighbors. So we call on the regime in Tehran to heed your will, and to make itself accountable to you. The day will come when the people of Iran have a government that embraces liberty and justice, and Iran joins the community of free nations. And when that good day comes, you will have no better friend than the United States of America." - President George W. Bush, January 13, 2008.

This sure makes me miss President Bush. He wasn’t afraid to take a stand against our enemies.

My uncle spent a lot of time in Iran back in the 60’s...he always said he loved it there...always had a good time...i’m pretty dumb about Iran and the way it was in those days...his talking about it always stuck in my head.

I so wish Bush would go out and make a semi public statement regarding Iran. Sounds like he already did back in 2005. Like Jim did we need to playback his statement often since it's so appropriate to what Iranians are facing today.

Isn’t it Ironic that after 4 years of Obama America really will need to appologize to the world for sitting idlly by while the voices of Freedom and Libery were extinguished.

Dang!! I knew that didn't sound like BO! I think Bush should go ahead and speak out again like this (clinton just did).
He definitely believes what he says.
