Father’s Day weekend for the Obama girls included a ride in the presidential motorcade to get frozen custard from The Dairy Godmother on Saturday afternoon. Twelve dark vehicles wound thru small side streets to the Del Ray section of Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb of Washington.
Liz Davis, owner of the frozen custard shop, said she had about 4 minutes of “lag time” between knowing she would have “a visitor” and the President walking in with his daughters.
Although the flavor of the day was posted as butter pecan, the President ordered a small cup of vanilla frozen custard with hot fudge and toasted almonds.
Sasha, his youngest daughter went for the big chocolate brownie sundae with frozen yogurt, hot fudge, a cherry, sprinkles, and whipped cream. But, the full cup seemed a bit too much and she asked her father to scoop off the whipped cream onto his own treat.
Malia, the oldest daughter, ordered a waffle cone and vanilla custard.
The president paid with cash and then sat down with his daughters to enjoy the treat.

The president was seen carrying a white bag to his car, which Liz Davis tells us contained frozen puppy pops for Bo, the first dog. Bo can expect to dine on pumpkin, and peanut butter and yogurt frozen treats tonight.

Unfortunately, in another part of the world, a father watched his daughter die a horrible death standing right next to him.
Historians a century from now will be stunned as they try to gather research on this era and have to sift through stories like this.

Happy Father's Day to Neda's Father!Neda is a girl who got killed by the governmental forces in front of her father yesterday. Let us take this moment to ask for peace for the innocent and brave spirit of Neda who made history! And let us(with grief and hope) wish a man who lost his beautiful and intelligent daughter, a happy father's day....Let us remind the mournful man that his daughter, Neda, will never die in our hearts and in the history of Iran.....

THE ONE’S handlers haven’t told him what to say on the international scene for the day, so he went out for some treats. When he returns to the WH, maybe they will have the teleprompter filled in and ABC can have him on the air.
He's been once, but whose counting. His excuse is that it would be too disruptive to the church. Then again didn't mind screwing with restaurants, hamburger places and ice cream parlors.
