Aside from a briefly worded statement about a "friendly" conversation she had with an Army brigadier general after dressed him down a day earlier for calling her "ma'am," Sen. Barbara Boxer remained silent Friday in the face of growing criticism as to whether she owed an apology.

bitch seems to fit the best.
She said to the General,”I worked so hard to get this title.”
Yeah, And she has the scars on her knee’s to prove it.
Me too!
Dear Senator Boxer,
Glad to know you feel you’ve worked hard to be called “Senator” and deserve to be called such by a General during testimony at the Capitol.
You’ve hardly got any understanding of our military. Ma’am is drilled into young men by good mothers and drill sargents. Apparently, you aren’t aware of that concept, so please publicly apologize for your arrogant ignorance. It would go a long way to those who serve and BTW remember when you were elected “Senator” you were elected to be a servant to the people; us!
God bless,
miss anne
Neal Boortz presented the perfect reply to her request today. Of course, if the General were to use it, he’d be unemployed but it was the perfect reply.
If you're gonna be generic, why not "Big Box".
You got it. A male senator would never take offense to being called 'sir'.
Babs just isn't comfortable being a female.
What an imbecile. What a blindingly stupid halfwit.
The modern Democrat party enshrines ignorance as “wisdom.”
WTF is this?
The Veterans of Foreign Wars supported both Boxer and Walsh and downplayed the exchange.
“The general is 100 percent correct in responding to members of Congress with ‘Sir’ or ‘Ma’am.’ The senator, on the other hand, is also correct, though probably everyone now agrees that this should have been handled differently, if at all,” the group said in a statement.
Yes. This whole bunch is always about pushing their particular agendas. One of hers, of course, is disrespect of our military.
Wow. The connotations of that title just triggered my gag reflex.
“There must be someone in CA that could beat Boxer in her next run.”
Too busy bringing plastic bags from the overpriced organic fruits and vegetables back to the supermarket, sipping skim milk lattes, and figuring out how many times “multicultural” can be used in a paragraph without losing all meaning.
Yeah I couldn’t take it. I Faxed this letter to Boxer and snail mailed it:
Well Done
Thank you for putting that Brigadier General in his place. You really showed him how to address Senators with the proper respect they so deserve. I’m sure the reason why your voice mail boxes are full is due to well wishers like myself.
After all you really “worked hard” to become a Senator didn’t you? Writing checks is hard.. having your husband write checks is probably hard too.
Senator is a title you should be very proud of. Your the Junior Senator from California, a state facing bankruptcy to the tune of $25 Billion. Well done Junior Senator! You have proven you value a Delta Smelt more than the livelihoods of farmers. Well done Junior Senator! You HAVE worked hard haven’t you?
By all means keep on demanding respect without any proof you deserve it and please continue to disrespect our men and women in uniform. You are a PUBLIC SERVANT. And you disrespected and brow beat a PUBLIC SERVANT. Well Done Junior Senator!
But please carry on. It will make it easier to defeat you in 2010.
“Ma’am”
Proud Marine Dad
Hell, I have more respect for a half-traned recruit than I have for an arrogant broad like boxer.
Then you don't think that a bully, who is deliberately rude to someone who, by reason of his subordinate professional position, cannot give his opinion of her churlisness, owes her target an apology?? Hmmm.
