Following a week of back and forth between CBS late night comic David Letterman and Sarah Palin over a crude joke he told about the Alaska Republican governors daughter, the Olive Garden restaurant says it is cancelling all of its scheduled ads on Lettermans Late Show for the rest of the year.

Just one more reason to patronize the Olive Garden — besides the wonderful food. Tuscan Potato Soup - yum.
I will contact them and let them know.
Does anyone have a list of all of what'shisname's advertisers?
Mmmmmm... shrimp scampi.
Now lets HIT the sponsors for ABC!! QUICKO!!
:) I emailed them , too. It’s wonderful to see Olive Garden doing something nice for their customers in taking a stand against the garbage that comes out of Lettermans mouth.
Letterman is an unprincipled individual and his self-loathing fuels his cynicism, sarcasm and unfunny remarks.
YAAAAY! Way to stand up,Olive Garden!

Good golly Miss Molly-you look like a hawg!! LOLOL
I'll spend some money at Olive Garden now.
Great news from Olive Garden.
Sorry...my grandmother is unable to cook for any more guests tonight. You'll just have to wait ;-)
I guess you don't remember the Florida orange juice or the Snapple attempts to do just that. Liberal groups persuaded them to pull their adds with threats of a boycott(and a bunch of misquoted things he said). Rush supporters ran out and drove sales through the roof during the so-called boycott, before the adds were pulled. As I recall, Snapple still pulled their adds, but then when the sales dropped to lower than they were before, they put them back. Rush also got a bunch of new advertisers during that time from people who listened to the show.
Just went to the company website and thanked them. I’m sending the kids in California some money to eat at an Olive Garden since there are none in Montana yet.
Thank you Olive Garden. I love Olive Garden.
Hellsman did too. That’s wonderful since I will only use their product.
Good for you!
Did you tell them so when you booked? I bet they’d want to know that!
