Campbell Brown's 8pmET CNN program had just 69,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo Friday night - the program's lowest ever. In fact, it was the lowest demo viewership for CNN at 8pmET since Christmas Day 2007.
The previous program low was 115,000, which occurred May 20 when Roland Martin was filling in. Brown's previous low was last Wednesday, with 125,000 viewers.
Brown took over anchoring the 8pm hour in March 2008 when the show was called "Election Center." The show morphed into "Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull" in October, a response to her 8pm competitors on Fox News and MSNBC. When she returned from maternity leave earlier this month the show was renamed "Campbell Brown."
Friday night was also the lowest A25-54 demo total of the year for Anderson Cooper 360, with 98,000 viewers, and the lowest Total Viewer average for Brown (591,000) in 2009. (Cooper's 10pm hour and repeated at 11pm was a taped special called "The Lone Wolf.")
The low viewership, on a summer Friday, came on the day of big international news as the results of the Iranian presidential election were coming in.

As for listening to her talk politically or about the days events? Not so much.

Wondering if 69,000 Viewers is a significant number?? That number couldn’t pay for the cameraman if he was an Apprentice! When Campbell gets down to 57, she will have to be concerned about infringing on Heinz Trademaks!
If no one watches, how can you tell if the show is even broadcast?
And all of America was tuned into Iranian election coverage, courtesy of some other 24-hour news channel?
I will never forget how Brown laughed at Palin’s nomination right after McCain tapped her, how she defended CNN’s vicious attacks against Sarah and her family, it was nauseating.
This is what happens when you come unhinged and start howling at the moon. Maybe this witch will get fired and go to blogging on Huffington Post or some other loony left haven.
69,000? Sarah Palin could command that many LIVE BODIES to an appearance with just 24 hours notice.
Who comes on before her? The 69,000 are probably folks that fell asleep during the previous show and didn’t turn the TV off.
Does Campbell Brown and CNN have NO SHAME? PENNSTATE has more Hot Dog Vendors at it’s games than THAT! Campbell could strip Naked and the FCC wouldn’t take notice with that Audience. At least she would be a lot better sight than David Letterman’s Wife! but then I suppose HelenThomas or Janet Reno would be tooooooooooo?
69,000 is a respectable number in liberal land LOL. I cannot believe there are 69,000 people who will watch that drivel. I wonder if they are the same people who registered with Acorn?
