CIA Director Leon Panetta says former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's approach to terrorism almost suggests "he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."
Panetta told The New Yorker for an article in its June 22 issue that Cheney "smells some blood in the water" on the issue of national security.

Last month the former vice president offered a withering critique of Obama's policies and a defense of the Bush administration on the same day that Obama made a major speech about national security.
Panetta said of Cheney's remarks: "It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point. I think that's dangerous politics."

Being absolutely unsurprised at something and actually wishing for that thing to happen are two different things, Mr. Panetta. It’s like telling a promiscuous person that they’ll get HIV - you don’t wish they will get it, but are you really surprised if they do?
HORSESHIT
you took the words righ out of my mouth.......
I think he’s just projecting. That’s what I bet a lot of leftists secretly wished for when Bush was president
Kind of like a town which maintains a fire department. It’s almost like they’re “wishing” for a fire, right?
Well, if it was NY or SF .....
So my guess is that if we are subjected to another tragic attack Pinhead and the rest of the telepromter crew will say it’s Cheney’s fault.
Cheney is warning of a danger not wanting it to happen. What a despicable lot leftards are.
I think hes just projecting. Thats what I bet a lot of leftists secretly wished for when Bush was president
And they happened, just like they wished. But the attacks were the DEMocRATS fault, not the fault of Bush, Cheney or anyone else in the Bush Administration.
BINGO!! Harry Reid, "The War is lost!"
Donna Brazile after the Iraqi elections, "Well we have Iran and North Korea, so there's hope!"
Katie Couric on the location of Saddam Hussein, guest, "there's speculation Hussein's in Syria." Couric, "One hopes!"
More liberal gutter-level spin and lies. And the complicit criminal MSM will print ANYTHING, true or not, about American patriots (conservatives) as opposed to NOTHING about the crimes and lies of the radical, anti-American left.
Did you hear the one about Panetta’s daughter being a slut? Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
That’s what I thought right away: The left is setting up the excuse an attack if it were to happen. I pray that it doesn’t, but I mustn’t be praying to 0bama because he seems to be doing the exact opposite of trying to prevent them.
So let’s see. 9/11 was Bush’s fault. Tiller’s death was O’Reilly’s fault. The Holocaust Museum attack was Rush’s fault. And the next attack on US soil (Heaven forfend) will be Cheney’s fault. Yep, I get it.
Kind of like wishing the US would fail in Iraq that we had to endure for years from the Democrats? Well, Cheney was on the team that didn’t let that happen and he didn’t come out and complain about critics all the time. Panetta’s job is to make sure that an attack on the US doesn’t happen. Let’s have less chatter and more doing the job.
Sounds like projection to me. From around late-’03 up until the time Obama was elected most Democrats were hoping like crazy were were attacked again just so they could blame it all on Bush’s “warmongering.” So since they themselves consistently put partisan politics over national security, they (incorrectly) assume Republicans/conservatives do it as well.
Panetta was a thug and liar when he worked for slick Willie and nothing has changed during the interim.
You notice they do a pre-emptive accusation right before something happens? Maybe they know SHTF time is neigh?
Hmmmm.
