In today's technological age, it might seem silly for intelligent people to consider a spiritual world where beings we cannot see might exist. Oh it's fine to read books and watch Hollywood movies about the afterlife and spirits that roam the netherworld but that's all make believe, not the real world. In the real world we are taught that reality consists of what we can touch, taste, see, hear, smell, and that the spirit world is for those weak minded individuals who use religion as a crutch to get through the day. But what if I told you that scientists have concluded that there is a strong possibility that a parallel universe really does exist? Now, as a Christian I do not need proof that a spirit world exists, but it is my belief that God wants us to do our utmost to understand what it is He has Created. That being said, the Spirit World is an aspect of God's Creation that we can only speculate upon just as Rene Descartes, the father of modern day philosophy did. Descartes admitted that God was the Creator of the world, but he believed that the spiritual world existed solely in the minds of men. So I guess the question would be, does a parallel spirit world exist, or is it just a figment of our fertile imaginations?
I would suggest that in order to properly answer that question, we need to first realize that God gave us a mind and the ability to think on a level with Him, if only we allow ourselves to put the silly notions of men aside. One silly notion is that reality

I can see why you got divorced.
Nothing we can do..it’s not that big of a deal really. Not like something is sneaking up and pulling our hair. I like to just think of it as a relative keeping an extra special eye on us.
The investigators tell me there’s not a heck of a lot you can do with a poltergeist anyway if its not violent. She told me that almost always they go away with time.
I am absolutely convinced that a spirit of some sort (call it a guardian angel if you like) saved me from certain death in an auto accident many years ago.
they say mostly that the energy from poltergeists is not in any sense “negative” unless someone there had a hand in a death.

He did not espouse scientific jargon, but it would be pretty hard for God not to know everything.
My ex bought a house in the country. She has seen a small boy cross from one room to another from the end of the long hall, but no one is ever there. The house is over 90 years old.

I don’t put much stock in such things myself, but am not above using them in a literary setting. (The blue coneflower seeds keeping shadow walkers out.)
But I have seen too many bat**it insane things in my life to rule out there being something parallel to us.
I believe we will be our own personality and spirit but our bodies won’t be the same (thank God!). Our minds will be focussed on God and worshipping and loving Him. He will have work for us to do as well. No sitting around on clouds, playing harps, LOL.
Each person is made up of spirit, soul and body. After we die that spirit is joined either to God or satan. We make that choice here. There is no purgatory to work out our sinful lives. Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? That He is the second person of the Trinity? That He died on the Cross of Calvary, was resurrected, and is coming again? You need to make the choice of following Him while you are yet alive on this earth. We don’t know when He will return for His people. If you are not one of His, you will suffer the consequences. If you are one of His, you will be with Him for all eternity and you will have an abundant life with Him here on earth. Peace, love, joy, comfort, all yours with Him. Chaos, striving, hatred, dispair—all satan’s fruit. “Choose this day whom you will serve”, dear one.
And the beautiful days are even shorter, LOL. ENJOY.
I believe these are demonic spirits, not ghosts. You may need an exorcist or someone who can pray with you about them.

While sitting at my Mother's bedside, she was talking to her deceased relatives a few hours before she passed.
Then, two years ago, I had a vivid dream of my Father who put his hand on my shoulder and told me not to worry about him, that he was "fine" and there was nothing anyone could do..
I was only awake a few hours before my brother informed me that Dad had passed and he decided to "wait" to tell me till morning..
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt my Dad visited me.

Don’t dabble with spirits. It’s dangerous to YOUR spirit. These aren’t friendly little Caspers. They are demonic spirits who know your family well, called Familiar Spirits. Cast them away from you.
