New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican, is calling on the CEO of CBS to fire David Letterman for crude comments he made about Sarah Palin and her daughter.
In the letter to CBS chief Les Moonves, Kolb said he took Letterman to task for the "shockingly inappropriate" jokes.
As the proud father of a daughter, and as a husband, I wanted Mr. Moonves to hear from me directly about Mr. Lettermans disparaging remarks," Kolb said in a written statement.
Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman making demeaning and degrading comments about women.

I agree with Solidwood.
He is not being condescending... he speaks the truth.
To sane readers: Note that Sarah Palin does not endorse this inane "fire Letterman" campaign. Friday, in response to a question from Wolf Blitzer she stated that if one desired to be forgiven she was more than willing to forgive and forget.
Regardless, this is the business of the Palin family, (who are more than capable of managing it), and not any business of a horde of rabid, whinging, zealots.
You display the same behavior that many here criticize Letterman for. When you disagree and cannot come up with solid arguments for your point of view you personally attack your opponent. You believe that those who do not agree with you are insane?
What a sad little person you are.
I was in the camp that was OK with this NY lawmaker calling for the firing, but you’ve convinced me otherwise. It would be embarassing to Gov. Palin if that happened. I would much rather have seen this legislator calling for an apology from Letterman, and not to Sarah, but to the young girls that he disrespected. That’s all Sarah asked for.
A technical lead for the Pubs, Dems still run the chaos. Still, this call for resignation or firing is a good thing in the cultural war. It usually is a Pub or conserv who is asked to fall on their swords.
BUMP
