S.F. to impose fines for tossing food scraps

SAN FRANCISCO - Trash collectors in San Francisco will soon be doing more than just gathering garbage: They'll be keeping an eye out for people who toss food scraps out with their rubbish.
San Francisco this week passed a mandatory composting law that is believed to be the strictest such ordinance in the nation.

What exactly do they expect. They want 700,000 people to put their food scraps in a pile in their back yard and compost the garbage. Can you say infestation of Rats and other vermin. SF is already on the water and has more than it's share of rats, and that is just those in the rectal regions of the residents of the Castro district. They want the rest of that city loaded with more well fed rats.

I think they actually considered mandatory outhouses, but were reluctantly objected to when they realized they were going to be an extremely popular hangout for gays looking for rectums to plunder.
