That, my FRiend, is a piece of history. I have other knives but when push comes to shove that’s what I want to have at hand.
Nice collection... but I have swords and know how to use them...
Care to join me?
Martial Arts are great for keeping the body in shape, but
questionable for self defence.
You bring to mind a few recent stories regarding sword-canes and Japanese swords becoming popular in ‘gun free’ Britain.
My grandpa had a cavalry sword that was given to him by an American Indian Army buddy whose ancestor supposedly collected it at Little Big Horn. Not too sure if that is true, but I think I’ll see if I can find it and polish it up. One never knows ...
Believe the source to be Executive Branch...Customs. Just plain old nanny statists looking out for our own good. Why trouble the Legislature?
Frown.
Anything you have, possess, or do that would bolster your physical or financial wellbeing is under attack. Ultimately, your sense confidence. You don’t need all that stuff any more; you have the government, hope and change.
Yep. Now take a close look at even many of the American 'name' brands, and see where they are really made. The average pocket knife comes from elsewhere nowadays.
Yes, remarkably, the US Supreme Court would agree knives ARE protected by the Second Amendment.
This is from last June's SCOTUS case, striking down the handgun ban in DC, in defining the term Keep and bear Arms, on pg 7 of the Opinion:
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v. HELLER
http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/07pdf/07-290.pdf
Timothy Cunninghams important 1771 legal dictionary defined arms as any thing that a man wears for his defence, or takes into his hands, or useth in wrath to cast at or strike another. A New and Complete Law Dictionary (1771)
Dont polish it!
Considering how many people are killed by automobiles each year ...
excel tee hee! You got me, I’m hash browns*
I am not familiar with the 9MM lightbulb, what does that look like? 8>)
And this is where the anti-gun people don't like the 2nd amendment.....
.....Guns and knives are tools. They can be used for self defense and for taking care of the occasional rabid raccoon out in the country. People need these tools. There aren't enough police and animal protection agents around to protect everyone everywhere all the time.
However, they would rather take away your right to self defense because of the other use for weapons, that being the "militia" purpose as written in the 2nd Amendment. They are threatened by that. They would take it away and do as they please rather than abide by the will of the people "under the gun" so to speak.
Didn't anyone tell you beer and knives don't mix..... (/sarc)!
Sorry. Meant to type Bought 9mm flashbulbs and incandescent lightbulbs today. [;>]
“Didn’t anyone tell you beer and knives don’t mix..... (/sarc)! “
Oh, I wasn’t playing with the knives and drinking. I was about to drive to the store and get more beer when I snapped that picture, MWA HA HA HA HA.
I once saw a Thai school kid in class with a knive like that, though it was awhile back.
...because in some movies....
I have been noticing for years here in Austin, when there is a person on person crime here, Latino’s weapon of choice is a knife. OTH a black persons weapon of choice is a gun.
I know now I will get “Thats Racist” pic.
This is nothing more than a way to get at semi-auto firearms. The logic of the gubmint is that if “enhanced opening” (i.e., spring-assisted knives, switchblades, and the like) knives can be banned, so can “enhanced-operating” firearms (i.e., semi-autos and self-loaders).
“This is no longer America. I want it all back.”
Yup.
