It's a conversation, Barney, not a soliloquy . . .
Discussing the regulation of executive pay with CNBC's Mark Haines today, the testy liberal Dem from Massachusetts was affronted when Haines tried to get in a word edgewise.
Before long, Barney announced that the interview was over, and ripped off his earpiece. Unruffled, Haines got off a good last line: "Fine, goodbye sir. We'll manage without you."

From what I heard, Frank got confronted with the truth, and the interviewer wouldn’t let him lie his way out of it.
Mark Haines should be ashamed!
Blowing away your opponent in an intellectual duel is one thing when it is a fair fight.
But conducting an intellectual duel with an unarmed opponent?
Anybody going on the show should know that by now.
By which you mean he asks questions. Which is in turn to say, he is a journalist. His approach does seem unorthodox, if you compare it to watching the talking hairstyles in the evening.
Even when addressing a Republican, the usual reporter or reporterette asks one "gotcha" question to get a "reaction." Or, if it's a Democrat being interviewed, one open-ended softball, such as, "How does it feel to be the savior of the banking industry, Congressman Frank?" There's no follow up, and no approaching from a different angle.
Haines is actually interested in his subject, and the questions he asks are designed to have the interviewee make a picture of how things (such as economies) work, with all their moving parts. People who won't come across with a clear explanationwhich includes people who can't switch gears easily because they're lyingget hammered into the ground.
He's a lot of fun to watch. So is Santelli.
“Barney Frank is the premier example of constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth.”
Aligator mouth and Jaybird Ass?
If Barney Frank doesn't learn to control his temper, he's gonna risk losing his Congressional ATM privileges...
He is elected by Masshole’s.
I had the sound turned off during this interview and could still tell Barney just didn’t want to answer questions..but throw out accusations.
He couldn’t win a nation wide election, but the Masshole’s will continue to elect him.
awww...bawney doesn’t wike being chawenged.
Bahhhney always speaks a million miles an hour and confuses most interviewers with his technical jargon so they just nod and decree him the smartest man alive. The problem on CNBC is that people such as Mark Haines and Michelle Caruso Cabrera know exactly what hes talking about and point out the absurdity of everything he says.
how do fools like this stay in office....what does it say about the people that elect Bawrney Frank and Al Franken....are they fools or are the elections corrupt...
Talking hairstyles... LOL!
Love it. :-)
It was heavy handed - but Barney's power is starting to go to his head. He's a dictator wannabee...
Haines was his usual good natured self - but you could see he knew he was being bullied - and he - with grace and class - stood up to Barney. There was a flash of "I can feel the totalitarian boot on my neck" moment - but it passed. I hope Haines can keep his job - we all know the dem bullies will do what they can to get him fired.
Barney is a retarded Elmer Fudd.
/not claiming credit for coming up with that one.
