...concerns have been raised about the course the President has thus far chosen to reveal. Robert Pear for the New York Times reports that the AMA will oppose a government sponsored insurance plan that Mr. Obamas plan is thus far espousing. The opposition of the AMA could well be an insurmountable hurdle to the Obama Administrations plans for Socialized Health Care.
The Times goes further:
But in comments submitted to the Senate Finance Committee, the American Medical Association said: The A.M.A. does not believe that creating a public health insurance option for non-disabled individuals under age 65 is the best way to expand health insurance coverage and lower costs. The introduction of a new public plan threatens to restrict patient choice by driving out private insurers, which currently provide coverage for nearly 70 percent of Americans.
If private insurers are pushed out of the market, the group said, the corresponding surge in public plan participation would likely lead to an explosion of costs that would need to be absorbed by taxpayers.

Actually liberal doctors are beginning to realize that as state employees they will stop making bank and become like Cuba’s doctors.
Liberalism is fine for the other guy. But when they come for your Mercedes and summer house, it is time to stop.
It might even be worse than that. It will be Medical school all over and no way to even pay back your loans to get thru school. People will stop going to medical school, there will end up being a shortage of good doctors on a far more extreme level than anyone imagines right now.
Get ready to get axed if you have something difficult to treat.
Get ready for docs to have fewer resources.
Fuggedabout any doc ever taking time with you. A lot of time. Especially the small office doc.
For real: Oregon Woman Denied Cancer Treatment by Government, Offered Suicide Instead
This is OUT OF HAND!!!!!!!!!!!
And so, are you drinking Corona yet? Ill join ya.
Cabo San Lucas or further south?
Wasn’t the AMA or some group of ‘concerned’ doctors running ads for socialized medicine during the campaign? Looks like reality and unintended consequences have slapped them upside the head.
If the AMA doesn’t get behind Obamacare, I don’t see how this is going to pass.
Actually I can imagine it quite well. Remember the airport car bombing in Scotland? It was called the “Doctors Plot” because most of the conspirators were NHS doctors imported because England didn’t produce doctors anymore.
Medicine in the morning, Jihad at night.
Yhe AMA donated 56% of its funds in the campaign to Obama, they backed him just a bit more than his competition. And the AMA is walking a tightrope, CONGRESS determines what Doctors get in Medicare Payments..... yea, who has who by the balls, that much is definitely up in the air.
>>>shiver<<<
That is an abhorrent thought isn’t it?
Spread this around, email to your friends!! Awesome Rush!

This may be a good place to start.
thank you for that
I just used this as a basis for an email to both my senators.....
Kudos to the AMA’s courage! Makes me feel like giving a donation.
Thank God for self-preservation, it’s the only thing that can ever motivate liberals to do what’s right.
I really have no problem with doctors "making bank"? I think you are implying that doctors should not "get rich". I cordially disagree.
Most people make decisions about their career/future early on. Doctors choose to spend many extra years studying and lots of extra money on there education, while others are graduating and begining their careers. They are motivated by many things, one of which is the prospect of a properous life once the formal studying is over.
Some people work harder and make more sacrifices. In America, that sometimes leads to being wealthy. I will never begrudge the industrious worker his right to be "rich".
