"Because I speak in civil tones, some want to try to label me a moderate," she said. "My voting record is one of the most conservative in the U.S. Senate. ... We can't expect to remain the majority party in Texas if we drive out voters that support Republican principles but might not agree on every single issue."

Just posting the facts of her voting record.
FWIW, I'll be supporting Perry in the primary, since he's the more conservative of the two.

No, you’re posting DC lobbyists spin on her record. Big difference.
In my case anyway, she’s totally disqualified from the git-go because she gets the fundamental non-negotiables wrong. The protection of innocent human life is the most basic requirement for fulfilling the oath of office. It is the primary reason for the very existence of government according to our founding documents.

since he's the more conservative of the two. The "lesser-of-two-evils" game is destroying America.
Rick Perry is a Democrat who for the sake of his political career - in the face of changes in the voting habits of Texans - simply changed the letter by his name.

Or neither...
The “other” candidate is watching this all fold out...

I doubt if even Ronald Reagan meets the standard (of whatever) evidenced by the most of posters on this thread. There's a difference between working with the opposition for the greater good while maintaining your principles and completely bending over in the phony spirit of bipartisanship.

National Right to life gives her an 85 and NARAL gives her a 0. You says she is pro abortion. Care to explain?

Read the article.
Some anti-abortion-rights activists can't forgive the senator for her belief that abortion should remain legal...

If National Right to Life told me the sky is blue I’d go outside and check. They’re thoroughly compromised. I don’t trust them one bit.
If they were truly pro-life this Senator would get a zero.

Kay's lifetime
ACU rating is acceptable (89+), but last year she scored a dismal 76. I don't know where she comes up with "one of the most conservative".
To: EternalVigilance
Some months ago I looked at every pro/anti abortion vote she had EVER made. The ONLY ones she had made that were pro were about stem cell research. That does not make one pro abortion, or a RINO.

If we can get Congress to Repeal the 17th Amendment and reinstate Article 1, Section 3 of the US Constitution, this type thing . . . the infestation of “inside the beltway crud” . . . would be less likely to occur.
And Kay Bailey Hutchison is NOT a spokesperson for Conservative Constitution Defenders or she would already have used her ‘soft sweet voice’ to protest the failure of 0bama to produce his long form birth certificate.

The one thing that sticks with me about her was that she was one of the senators that voted against furthering the impeachment actions against Bill Clinton... really pissed me off.

The one thing that sticks with me about her was that she was one of the senators that voted against furthering the impeachment actions against Bill Clinton... really pissed me off. I called her office when that happened and told them I would never vote for her again. I haven't, either. Guess mine was a lonely voice. She got more votes than Bush in 2000 on the Texas ballot.
I'm no huge fan of Perry but I'll vote for him in a heartbeat over that woman.

Why is it alright to destroy human beings at their earliest stages of development?
How can anyone who supports the destruction of millions of human beings in this way, for the purposes of ghoulish experimentation, plausibly claim to be “pro-life”?
Please explain to me the moral difference between that and the use of the skin of dead Jews to make lampshades. Hey, it was “useful,” right?! /s
