Actually, I care very much what scum bag leftists are able say that is believable to the broader middle. You know, the folks they pulled over the cliff with them last November? If you don't also care about that, then you have no clue how politics works. When a scumbag leftist only has to spend a little time perusing this site to extract the mother load of foolishness that he did, I care very much.
Last Sunday was the first time in over ten years of active participation on this site that I was genuinely ashamed of the what I read from fellow Freepers. The immaturity and inability to reason was very disappointing. We are fighting a major battle on for the very survival of the republic. Some of us here are handing those seeking to destroy everything we hold dear, the all the weapons and ammunition they need to permanently continue their stranglehold on power. Grow the hell up, would you?
Just imagine how much better it would have been if this character had come here seeking to find the idiotic comments he found, and instead come up empty. If I was JimRob, I'd have banned every one of you, for the good of the prolife cause, and conservatism in general.
Thank you. From what I’ve seen over the past few weeks, I’m about ready to opus myself out of here.
Nobody was pulled. They went knowingly and willingly. And good riddance. If they can't stand up for what's right and wrong through their votes, then I don't want them corrupting my party with their mediocre values.
If you don't also care about that, then you have no clue how politics works.
Trade my values for political votes? No thanks.
When it comes to the "party of death" and their allies like George Tiller, it's perfectly sensible to think of them as "other than human", if only for your own self-protection.
Now, for your thoughts regarding the "broad middle" ~ ain't no such thing. We elect our representatives from "single member districts". Because of that the entirity of the electorate is forced to gravitate to one of two poles ~ some resist and they end up on "the fringe", not "the middle".
The description of our electoral map is called a "bi-modal saddle".
To win elections folks advocating on behalf of one pole must pull in voters from the other pole. Or, alternatively, figure out how to SUPPRESS THE VOTE for the other pole.
I think Obama succeeded in sucking in some from Republican circles, and at the same time scaring off many Conservatives with the complaint that George Bush and his crowd had spent too much, were soft on homosexuals, and had pi$$ed off the world. That's how he got more votes than McCain.
At the same time, by suppressing the vote he won many more Representatives to the House than he had anticipated.
It is up to us to encourage "the other pole of politics" to believe we are angry, fed up with their BS, and ready to roll. We must have succeeded if we could get this particular Leftwingtard, ol' what's his name, Wildman?, to bother reading our threads and classifying the comments. He may learn something.
Hey Minn, do you believe that Abortion is Murder? If so the Tiller committed 60,000 murders. He killed more human beings than the Nazi guards at Buchenwald.
Are you all teary eyed about Roeder performing a late term abortion on Tiller?
Would you like a hankie?
The broader middle is not recoverable. Time to stop worrying about PR. When the leftist zombies and the mentally and emotionally deficient middle reach a tipping point on the violation of human rights, (that time will be here when the people decide) then the only response will be force. Hey, maybe you can reason with them.
Good post! I agree with you and IMHO many posts on the subject were self-serving and did nothing to move the real ball forward; to make matters worst only a day or two later there was another post about the man who used Craigslist to hire someone to rape his wife in front of him and while his children were home.. to which a FReeper kept posting over and over again it was no different than abortion and thus she deserved what she got == even though what happened to her had nothing to do with abortion..... it is as if the inmates are currently running the asylum and because FR is widely touted as a conservative site it paints all of us with a brush many of us would prefer not to be painted with and it does chase off the people we need to attract at a very critical time in our countries history.
No matter how 'nicely' put, no matter how dripping with regret, anything but lockstep agreement with them will be attacked.
Know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
Frankly, I do not care what the Left might think. Tiller killed viable babies for Six thousand dollars a pop.
He reached in the womb, crushed their skulls and pulled them out, and apparently did so without remorse, cash up front.
No matter how you sugar coat that, it remains one of the ugliest things in the world.
He did not do this just once or twice, but sixty thousand times, by his own admission, and all for profit. He had not expressed any intention of quitting, but that he would continue the practice.
Had a similar serial slaughter been perpetrated on puppies or kittens, there would have been outrage!
On human babies, and we are supposed to regret this man's passing? No.
Police departments pull out the stops to intervene when a serial killer murders a handfull of nurses or college students or pre-teens. Yet this guy is protected after killing 60,000?
I must contest even calling Tiller's killing "Murder", and that is not an emotional argument.
If someone intervenes on behalf of a helpless third party who is about to be killed or maimed by using lethal force against the perpetrator it is perfectly justifiable in almost any jurisdiction in the country.
All that is missing from that is the immediacy of the threat to a specific individual, and, again, I point out that Tiller had no intent of quitting.
In this case, all that separated the victims of Tiller's actions from being protected by that law is two feet in space or a couple of weeks of age.
Despite the fact that the bodies of the babies this man had slain would cover an NFL regulation football field, including the end zones, if laid shoulder to shoulder, head to toe, those of us opposed to his practices are somehow supposed to feel regret at his 'assisted passing'?
I regret only that we live in a culture which condones the slaughter for profit (or otherwise), and where there is any debate over the use of lethal force to stop someone from killing those on the threshold of birth.
If an 'amatuer', were to kill those same late term foetuses, they'd be charged with murder.
If the babies had all been killed as part of medical experiments in a camp somewhere, there would be an ongoing worldwide manhunt (Dr. Mengele?)
Now, that does not let the seekers of his services off the hook, either, but had he not provided the 'service', perhaps some of those children would be in the care of adoptive families who wanted them today.
As for our society, God only knows what we have lost. Sixty thousand chances to have the person who made a major medical breakthrough, discovered how to bend space and travel the stars, or found a new source of safe and virtually free energy, just to name a few possibilities.
Before someone dumps the 'poor, unwanted child' canard, paying $6,000.00 to 'dispose' of a baby isn't the action of the poor. Unwanted, maybe, but there are those who desperately want children, waiting to adopt.
YMMV, as always.
Keep in mind that FR is full of lefty liberal trolls who masquerade as one of us. I’ve had dozens of perfidious trolls who initially posed as a supporter, only to turn around and use my good nature against me.
I could easily have cherrypicked out their names, plastered them in an article somewhere, and make it seem like FR is anti-”birther.”
Wait...come to think of it, that’s exactly what somebody did to me, and if I didn’t know FReepers as well as I do, and was not aware of typical troll behaviors, I just might have fallen for it a year ago.
FR is high on the lefty’s Hit List, and nothing they do to try and destroy us in this manner, is of any surprise to me.
Likewise, I think that it is critically important to make others outside of this forum know that we ae very much unlike the liberal Left blogs and forums who show no quarter to any and all dissenting opinions. Whereas, FReepers strongly believe in the First Amendment, and who recognize the right of everyone to express their opinion, if, in fact, that opinion was presented in an honest, straightforward way.
The problem has been that much of the dissenting opinion on here have come from people whose alterior motive is to disrupt the conservative blogs and forums, and not to add anything constructive to the dialogue.
Yet, it is because of their actions, that many of us, at one time or another, have been to quick to lump all dissenting opinion into that same troll category — mostly out of frustration with their Ailinsky tactics.
What I would like to see at the top of every post, is a small disclaimer that the opinions expressed by individuals do not necessarily reflect the opinions or beliefs of forum members as a whole.
All in all, when you consider FR versus the hundreds of thousands of bizzare blogs, wacko websites, and flaky forums there are on the Internet, there is only a miniscule amount of “hate speech” that can be honestly placed at our feet, and even in these cases, they don’t reflect the norm.
A final thought: there is a world of difference between saying that the world would be a better place without people like Tillman and applauding the person who put a bullet in one of them.
Don't like free speech, huh??? Looks like you had better get on over to Dimmo Underground where you belong.
