TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) President Barack Obama has appointed a Great Lakes czar to oversee the administration's initiative to restore the Lakes' environment.
Cameron Davis, president of the Chicago-based environmentalist group Alliance for the Great Lakes, will head the effort. The alliance announced the appointment Wednesday.

Im smelling water rights/distribution issues from the Dictatator Obama.
Exactly. This isn't about cleaning up the great lakes, they don't really need it. This is about removing dams, regulating wells, transporting water elsewhere, and preventing irrigation.

Very interesting site. The first thing I clicked on was the toolkit which immediately started with a lie.
Kids in the Village of Hersey, Michigan can now fish for trout in the Hersey River thanks to the removal of a decrepit dam that was unsafe and harming fish habitat.
I used to live down the road from Hersey in Evart Michigan and often caught trout AT THE DAM. They promote a lie that the dam was harming habitat and that trout have returned to a place I often caught trout right at the dam.
Also interesting that Hershy is at least 75 or 100 miles or more from lake Michigan. This group isn't interested in the great lakes.

Every time I see the word czar I think of Russia. It could be worse...he could be appointing a "shah", an "Imir" or a "mullah" of enviro-fascism.

I used to work for the core of engineers so I can tell you that when the government says 'Great lakes' they mean (and have the force of law behind this) the lakes and *ANY* body of water that drains into the lakes (Rivers, Stream, Brooks, Bays, other lakes, ...., ....
When the Government says great lakes this:
Things south of this go into the Ohio which goes into the Mississippi..

I find it interesting that he’s appointing all these “czars”, instead of doing things through congress. At this rate, everything will be run from the White House within a year or so. Since the czar is appointed, not elected, there’s no accountability. This is akin to the mullahocracy in Iran, where the real power sits with people who have no responsibility to the public that they govern.
This guy is dismantling every piece of the American political infrastructure that he can: the three-branch government, contract law, market economy, judicial impartiality, currency market, private financial institutions, private corporations, the impartiality of the census, our network of long-time allies...when do we tell them they’ve gone too far?

Can't wait until the czar bans all lakeshore tourism, dismantles shipping traffic, and obliterates the fishing industry. $20,000,000 and thousands of jobs lost. Can't wait!
