June 1st is Tony Snow's birthday. Please take a moment to remember our friend and keep his family in your thoughts today.
Hey Luv, glad you made it and I love the pix of Tony. [I have one, too, except mine doesn’t say Linda!] Little did we know at the time how cherished that photo would become.
So miss those good old days which now seem so long ago and, yet, are never far from my daily thoughts.
Hi, Bah. How ya doing. I was otherwise occupied and could not post much earlier. Glad you hung around. Pretty soon we will have a quorum.
To his wife: Today was my mother's birthday...We lost her fourteen years ago. This morning I checked the pond where I had planted the water lilies in her memory(Her first name was Lillian) Sure enough, although not a flower was evident yesterday, the pond was covered with beautiful blooms in her favorite color this morning...
I took dad out to one of her favorite restaurants today....We shared wonderful memories all day. Somehow I picture you and your children doing something similar.....May your day be as blessed as ours.
Thank you so much for the pings. I do miss him so much. His family has so much to be proud of in their husband and father. He was a very, very good man.
I often think of Tony while driving home from work past the Reagan Library where he gave a sold-out speech. Strangely, the movie quote that popped into my mind the first night after he left us still comes to mind as I look up that hill to the library “It was the nearest thing to heaven — you were there.”
That was how I first met Jill Snow!
How lovely.
My Annie is presently on her way to Paris with my one and only, brand new son-in-law. We are following their progress through Europe although, being newly weds, they are not as communicative as we all would like :)
It is good to hear you dad had such a pleasant time.
God Bless his family.
“I bet that this just might be a schoolmate of mine, eh? If so, glad you could join savelibertys remembrance of Tony.”
Just don’t know about being a schoolmate! You would have to tell me the name of the town and school. :)
You must feel a sense of what could have been based on the area you live in. [I hope things work out for your state.]
The link below, set up with Tony’s permission, is a link to his Regan Library speech.

Now I know it’s you!

So, to Jill, Kendall, Robbie and Kristi, you are all in our thoughts and prayers on this special day and will be also when you face the tough memories which will confront you next month. We feel blessed to have known Tony and thank you for sharing him with us. I feel Tony will be doing all he can to intercede on your behalf when things get difficult. [He has surely mastered the harp by now to add to all of his other instruments.]
God bless you all.
Little did we know. I was very proud to receive it from him, though!
And I’ll always cherish the few times that he “spoke” to me
on the threads. It always made my day brighter! :D
Thanks for the Ping!
Prayers for Jill and the kids, oh how I miss Tony Snow!
Happy B-Day Tony!
He is so missed. I think it was in 1993...when I first met him and we used to talk on the phone alot...and I was watching one of my favorite “B” movies...THE OSCAR with Stephen Boyd. I told him the plot...and then the last line of the movie with is one of the most classic scenes EVER..and he just roared with laughter. So on his birthday that year I searched and searched (remember, that was before the internet as we know it, I actually had to go to some funky used movie places!) and I sent him a copy of the movie THE OSCAR.
Tony Snow was the most genuine person I’ve ever known.
That is awesome!....and I am GREEN with envy! LOL!
He loved everyone! Well, probably not liars and anti-American detractors.
