So, he hasn't been able to posses a firearm legally for 12 years. So of course the gun grabbers will want to make it even more illegal, someway, somehow.
Notice that the paramedics got there before the police. Remind me again why we're supposed to rely on the police for protection, rather than for cleanup.
I join in earnest prayer for everyone suffering from this tragedy whether Tiller's loved ones or the pro-life community.
And I agree with betty boop and wmfights that the courts are at the root of this tragedy by forgoing the legislative process to make law from the bench where justice is not obvious.
Frankly, people comply with law voluntarily - usually because it is reasonable or they aren't willing to "do the time" for disobeying. But the stakes are so high and the injustice for the unborn so manifest in this abortion business, it is an invitation to anarchy for unstable people with nothing to lose.
And sadly, the backlash is felt mostly on the pro-life side - the very ones whose hearts break over an unwanted child or invalid and most certainly a murder victim.
From what I understand the suspect was once arrested for bomb-making equipment. If so, he is certainly not pro-life.
Could you please elaborate on this a little? As it stands now, I totally disagree with that statement.
Bruce: “It’s Constitution and Scripture speech and its logical and effective as well...And your basis and strategy?”
Glenn: “It has had no affect on abortion. I’m sure it makes you feel as though you are doing something, but you are not.
Abortion is the law of the land and it’s not going away by talking it to death.”

Ah yes, I’ve asked you about your strategy and the basis of it...I’ve asked you if you’re ready to kill some more abortionists(??)...and you respond by telling us that standing on the Constitution and Scripture ‘has had no effect on abortion.’
And your ‘alternative’ approach has? We don’t even know what your approach is. You don’t want to bother us with that??
I’ve mentioned that for the first time since 1995 more people ID themselves as pro-life than pro-choice...but who knows where that’s going with this little murder story in their back pockets...
But we’ll labor on - teaching our kids, spending time instilling values in our youth, etc...and you...who knows...not sure what you’re doing, nor what your approach, nor what the basis of that would be...no word on that yet...
The title is what most will see:
Tiller Vigil Draws Anti-abortion Protesters
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ About 10 anti-abortion protesters gathered
across the street from a downtown Wichita vigil where supporters of
George Tiller remembered the slain abortion provider.
The protesters outside Sunday’s vigil were from Westboro Baptist
Church in Topeka, which also pickets military funerals. The
protesters held signs emblazoned with such messages as ``Abortion
is bloody murder’’ and ``Baby killer in hell.’’
The protesters and about 20 Tiller supporters shouted at each
other. A large number of police officers stood by to make sure the
scene stayed under control.

“there are 3 moral justifications for killing: a just war, true self defense, and legal/moral capital punishment.”
I believe the defense of another is a 4th moral justification. For instance, if a person is knifing my neighbor, I can and indeed should shoot or otherwise kill that person.
If I can deliver my neighbor another way, fine. But to immediately stop a murder, I am morally justified in killing the assailant.
While I feel sad for the man’s family, and for the fact Tiller is burning in hell, having never asked for forgiveness for his sins, I feel joy for the thousands of kansas babies that will now be born.
That’s like saying you have no moral responsibility to take action if you know the man next door is chopping up his family with an axe.
People were dying - every day - thousands a year, according to O’Reilly.
I disagree !
You are mixing up very different religions ,”philosophies” or opinions!(Buddhists,,atheists,agnostics,Hindus....)
And you are making a confusion between real people, believers or not believers(for instance christianS)who are diverse(and you used rightfully the plural)and the doctrinas(Bhuddism,atheism,agnosticism...)
Neither Buddhism nor agnosticism reject judeo-christianism on the contrary of atheism(but straight “dogmatic” atheists are very rare...).Personnaly as a christian i am interested in different religions and way of thinking while i have strong convictions and i do believe that many smart “buddhists” or “agnosticists” are interested by judeo-christianism.
Hinduism certainly reject judeo-christianism but there are certainly many kinds of hinduists more or less educated .
Even muslims can be or are interested by judeo-christianism when they have the opportunity to learn something else than Koran.
Behind your statement one could see a curious vision of religious freedom and freedom of thinking!
If “christians” can live christianism it can(or it could) work in the other way
I really don’t have all that much sympathy for his family. They should have convinced him to stop, but it appears they didn’t.
If they tried but failed, well then they have my sympathy and apology for the remark.
I think it’s poetic justice that Tiller died without having a chance to ask for forgiveness. He really does need to burn in Hell for all eternity.
So your argument is that I either agree with your insignificant ways or kill a doctor?
I'll stay pragmatic, thank you. I'll understand that this law is here to stay and there is nothing, short of killing the killers, that one can do about it.
I was citing the post of Wagglebee on the subject, and I condensed his 3 points. His #2 point does account for both self defense and proximate, immediate neighbor defense.
I should have condensed better.
Are you supporting the systematic killing of abortionists? Yes or no.
Thank you, sister.
I am convinced that the disenfranchisement on this abortion issue is at the root of continuing social unrest. An up or down vote on the subject would at least let Americans know they had had their opportunity to let their opinions be known. I’m sure that abortion would have been denied by a vote of the electorate back in those early Roe days. Today, I think the vote would still be against Roe. There’s no way that late-term abortion would not be criminalized.
I do believe that Tiller is a murderer. I know for a fact that if today were a regular office day for him that there are a few more babies who will be alive today who would otherwise have had their lives brutally taken from them.
I don’t special plead for Tiller’s killer. He will pay the price for his murdering of Tiller. Vengeance did not belong to him; it belonged to God.
Yet, all things, especially the beginning and ending of life, are in the hands of God. I firmly believe this.
I don't feel joy, but I didn't lose any sleep over it laast night.
It does come down to a disenfranchisement. Millions of Americans believe that abortion is murder and that it should be made illegal in most cases. But the ability of those millions to express that sentiment by their God-given and Constitutional right to vote has been stripped of them by the same courts which are supposed to guarantee those rights.
The fact that there are millions upon millions of people who believed that Tiller was a murderer and only one or two people so out on the fringe that they would take the law into their own hands is a testament to the patience that nearly all abortion foes have been exercising since 1973.
But all abortion foes will be slandered by the media in their quest to do the devil's work. I noticed that Diane Sawyer shed a tear on the air for Mr. Tiller, yet I don't believe she ever shed a tear over one of HIS many victims. That is the enemy we face in this struggle.
Abortionists are Good. Christians are Bad.
Of course this has been going on for 2000 years.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Eph 6:12)
Gear up for the fight.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:13-18 KJV)
