I was thinking about this thread,
O'Reilly Just Quoted an FR Post
Some thought it would be best to delete the offensive posts.
Think about this FRiend, if JimRob (or the proprietor of ANY conservative website) begins to delete what some blowhard like O'Reilly deems 'offensive', where does it end?
Do you truly think it wise to grant that kind of power and control to an utter egomaniac like O'Reilly who doesn't care one way or the other about ANY issue as long as HE looks good?!? That's all O'Reilly is about, i.e., *what is good for O'Reilly*.
Free Republic is a microcosm of America. There are all kinds of posters, just as there are all kinds of Americans. Some of us are highly educated, with degrees out the ying-yang, cultured, diplomatic in how we speak and talk, never posting even one offensive vowel in an FR thread, the epitome of genteel civility.
Then you have posters like me. I am capable of being just as civil and polite as anyone. But I call 'em the way I see 'em. I don't give a good damn if I offend that obnoxious SOB Bill O'Reilly, or anybody else in the dying lamestream media known as 'TV'. I don't answer to Bill O'Reilly and neither does anyone else on FR, and I can assure you that JimRob doesn't answer to O'Reilly, in fact JimRob just this past week tore O'Reilly a new one, and I applaud him for it.
Just like America, FR has endless varieties of personalities, ranging from the aforementioned genteel, all the way to the vulgar and repulsive who manage to evade being zotted on a daily (sometimes hourly, lol) basis.
But genteel or vulgar, they all have something to say, and as long as what they're saying is within the FR guidelines, I'm all for it. I might not agree with them but as long as they're a poster in good standing, they got a right to say what they think, just as I have a right to tell them that they're full of it (if I think so).
I meant no harm, Mr. Robinson.
I'm sure you didn't, you were concerned about FR being used as a whipping boy by O'Reilly and that is admirable, I salute you for that. But Doe Eyes? Here's something to ponder:
Free Republic is BIGGER than Bill O'Reilly. Maybe not in members, or in ratings, but it is BIGGER in the impact that it has on American culture and society. O'Reilly is a one-trick pony, he rants, he raves, he sucks up to one side or the other, he (to paraphrase Aaron Tippin) "stands for nothing" and that is why O'Reilly is more likely to "fall for anything". He is his own biggest fan.
But FR? FR is as close to a living online entity as you will ever find on this Earth. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Freepers are contributing, posting, commenting, analyzing, encouraging, praying, laughing, crying, celebrating, mourning, you name it, Freepers are doing it, and doing 'it' well, and with enthusiasm. We're all part of a grand extended American family, JimRob is our patriarch, and I'm damn proud to be part of it, just as I'm sure you are too.
Sorry for the long rant, but I wanted to say a few things here, and I guess I did, lol
Have a great week.

How ironic. Tiller shot and killed at his church.
Sounds like he was quite the hypocritical Christian, and whoever killed him was definitely not prolife.

What a HYPOCRITE! Why would a LOSER like Tiller EVER go to CHURCH??

i PRAY hes a jealous husband and not a right winger pro-lifer.I have never heard of this evil bastard ("Tiller")before, but praying for him is probably the last thing he deserves.
The fact that the baby killer POTUS MUZZIE HUSSEIN is already painting the GOP as responsible means all bets are off.
Bring it Kenya man.

I have another one besides Sebelius’ hearing... Sotomayor’s hearing as well. As you may have noticed, Catholic and vagueness re: abortion stories have leaked forth aplenty (unusual for Obama nominees). Please the worried PP/NARAL folks who you promised the moon too (Hey I tried), get rid of the troublesome nominee.
But then again, I never thought she was the real nominee anyway, but because I know the president. Blame it on the racist right and your next nominee’s smoother. He has too many lawyer link-ups who’ve drooled for the job for a year or more. Two birds with one stone (bonus Catholic slap).
Oops, three birds; Janet can put pro-lifers back on the Homeland list with an eye on ‘those bible-clutching fundamentalists’ and guns. /s

Oh, the FOCA that they lied and said didn’t exist (even though I have the pdf from his site)?
Oh, you mean the anti-gun legislation he helped write while with the Joyce Foundation and pushed his whole career?

I don't understand! The Dr was aborting babies, one by one. Look at the mess America is in! We are going down like the Titanic. What a coincidence, the last survivor of the Titanic died today. 2012 may be calm...... after the storm

You certainly have the right and the obligation to stop the murder of innocent life short of taking one.Technically, in Texas... a person is allowed to use deadly force to save a life. Some life that is already out of the womb, that is...
Killing unborn babies is technically legal. Ain't right, but it's supposed to be legal.

If you live by the sword, there is a much higher probability that you will die by the sword.
Tiller lived by the sword.
Not in agreement with the act of murdering him, but funny how these things tend to often validate natural laws.

There is nothing immoral about ending the activity in that bloody abbatoir called Tillers clinic. You are probably one of those bleeding hearts who abhor the attempted assasination of Hitler. You are advocating violance and anarchy in the name of a higher purpose. You should sign up with Al Qeda. They think just like you.
