First, I don’t see the connection between your post and mine. I’ll answer your question, but I would like you to answer mine, which I’ll rephrase as: Do you believe the conspirators against Hitler were morally justified?
Now, to YOUR question: Is the pro-life movement at war with everyone who has an opposing view?
If by “at-war,” you mean actual violent war with “everyone who has an opposing view,” the answer is no. But there are two problems with your question.
First, Tiller wasn’t just someone with an “opposing view.” Those who support him are people with “opposing views.” HE, on the other hand, is a person who committed genocide. Quite different from a mere ideological adversary, I would say. So to be “at-war” with HIM isn’t to be at war with a person with a mere opposing view.
Second, if you DON’T mean actual violent war, but rather something less...than indeed what would be the point of being a part of a “pro-life movement” that wan’t at-war with those who are pro-abortion?

They did say in the presser that they are monitoring internet websites of pro/anti abortion groups so I’m wondering if maybe they are aware of some connection. Or, it’s very possible they’re just assuming one. They said they were doing it “for security reasons.”
My reason for that has to do with the murder of James the brother of John by Herod Agrippa I. This story is in Acts 12. In that story, Peter is also captured, imprisoned, and set to be wrongly executed by this fanatical king. The church prayed for his release and Peter was miraculously released.
On his release Peter did not rail against the king, nor did the Christians agitate for the death of King Herod Agrippa.
Shortly thereafter, though, God Himself took Herod's life due to Herod's own narcissism.
It is a clear biblical example of a true grievous and a true act of retribution by God, and not by God's people.
Your position is ever so unbiblical, and it is demonstrably so. As our friend wagglebee says, there are 3 moral justifications for killing: a just war, true self defense, and legal/moral capital punishment.
God will not bless the murderer of this murderer, because the shooter decided to play God rather than wait on God. Ultimately, "the wicked shall be cast into hell..."

Amen, xzins. I have read the entire thread to this point in time and came back to your post as the one I agree with most. Tiller was an evil man, but imho, you are quite right in your perspective of this event.
It may be a father, or grandfather, whose child, grandchild, was aborted.
This is what happens when self-important and wise-in-their-own-eyes unelected liberal judges and justices usurp legislative power in these sensitive matters, cut off all debate, and dictate that the "progressive" view and practice shall be the only acceptable view and practice.
It is far better to let the people debate and contend over these matters democratically in the legislative arena, where arguments may be proposed and opposed, and hearts may be won and changed by peaceful means.

Now we also have massive government manipulation of the financial and business systems, with bailouts and takeovers out the wazoo with money we don’t even have, loading onto future generations whether by borrowing from the Chicoms or ruining the currency by printing money.
We have Unions making out like bandits in these bankruptcies even while their workers go on the unemployment rolls and investors wind up holding an empty bag where their life savings use to be.
Then government tells us what kind of cars we have to buy and prepares to regulate every other aspect of our lives in the name of health care for all and global warming.

I have not changed my view on that. Bin Laden is one of the prime targets in a just war.
I think my final position, after some discussion with many of you, was prayer that bin Laden be stopped. His capture would probably also result in his death, and I was OK with that.
The distinction, of course, was that bin Laden is not operating under the current protection of US law. Tiller was. Tiller and bin Laden are/were both murderers.

Aside from the media/government response, though, your post brings up an interesting question - if this guy was, in fact, motivated by anti-abortion beliefs (I hesitate to use the term "pro-life" to describe a murderer, whatever his motivation), can this murderer fairly be called a terrorist? Under the definition of terrorism under Federal law ("…activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping…."), think he just might be (I guess it would depend on whether this act was motivated by vengeance for Tiller's previous act, or by a desire to intimidate other abortionists/abortion-supporters).

I think it may be better to pray that Tiller had true sorrow to the Lord before he died and that God would have mercy on him. Also that his killer will also have true remorse and be shown mercy as well when he dies.
The only unforgiveable sins (by their very nature) are presumption...assuming that no matter what sins you commit, God will automatically forgive you. And the opposite of presumption, despair...assuming that it is impossible to be forgiven, so you do not ask God’s forgiveness because you do not think it is within His power.
